Summary:
Heaven's Door is a modern, music-inspired retreat on five private acres near Pioneertown, where a backyard full of boulders becomes your own place to explore. Spend the day scrambling among the rocks, cooling off in seasonal cowboy tubs, or soaking in the hot tub. As evening settles in, gather around the outdoor fire or put on a favorite record. With bold architecture, playful interiors, and a separate casita for larger groups, this is desert living with a little rock 'n' roll.
The Space:
Behind its striking black-and-concrete facade, Heaven's Door reveals a home with a personality all its own. -Living Area-
The living room reflects the home's creative spirit. A generous charcoal sectional anchors the space beneath an eclectic gallery of guitars, music photography, and colorful artwork. Patterned textiles and sculptural furniture add warmth and personality without taking away from the clean architectural lines.
This is a room made for putting on a record and staying awhile. Browse the vinyl collection, enjoy music through the sound system, gather for board games, or settle in for a movie on the TV. Large windows and glass doors keep the surrounding landscape in view, giving the room an easy connection to the outdoors.
For guests balancing a little work with their getaway, there's a dedicated workspace, Wi-Fi, and an Ethernet connection. Please note that there is no cellular coverage at the property, so download directions before arriving.

The kitchen keeps things practical and social, with a marble island and barstools where guests can gather while meals come together. A stainless steel gas stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, blender, kettle, and coffee maker provide the essentials for everything from quick breakfasts to leisurely dinners.
A round marble dining table offers an inviting place to sit down together, while the nearby outdoor dining area and propane grill make it easy to take meals outside when the weather is right.
Whether you're preparing a meal before heading to a show at nearby Pappy & Harriet's or staying in for an evening with friends, the kitchen and dining spaces make gathering feel effortless.
-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-
Heaven's Door offers three bedrooms and three ensuite bathrooms, with two bedrooms in the main house and a third in a casita with its own entrance. The arrangement works particularly well for couples traveling together or families who appreciate having their own spaces.
Primary Bedroom: Located in the main house, the primary bedroom features a king bed, understated modern furnishings, and a private ensuite bathroom.
Second Bedroom: Also in the main house, this bedroom offers a queen bed and its own ensuite bathroom, providing a comfortable retreat away from the main gathering areas.
Private Casita: Available for groups of five or more, the casita adds a third bedroom with a king bed, private ensuite bathroom, and its own entrance. A sliding glass door opens toward the desert, giving guests a little extra independence while remaining connected to the rest of the group.
Two of the home's bathrooms feature freestanding soaking tubs, including one beside a large window overlooking the rocky landscape. They're wonderful places for a long, quiet soak after a day of exploring.
The property accommodates a maximum of eight guests but has three beds, sleeping six guests in beds. Groups of seven or eight should bring their own air mattress for the additional guests.
For families traveling with young children, a crib, travel crib, and high chair are available.
