Room was not cleaned well at check in. I checked it all out and wiped surfaces with Clorox wipes because it was dirty. Hairs and nail clippings found in the bathroom. Garbages were full in the dining area for breakfast when we arrived at 4pm (and was the case every day). Garbage in the hallways that stayed there for days. No luggage rack or hair dryer in room. Fridge was missing door to freezer. Tub was plugged and did not drain. Shampoo and conditioner not in room and had to ask for it and load it myself. Toward evening on the second day, I found a bed bug. Staff offered a new room right away. They let us know they treat the property every 7-14 days. (Two different answers). They wanted to give me a room a few down and I asked to go further away. Room was not clean but did not see signs of bugs. We also didn't see any in the first room though either. Exterior doors were not secure. Key not needed to get in. Pool was dark and not sure how clean it was. I stepped on an earring that went into my toe. Laundry and electrical rooms left open and not secured. The laundry chute which had a huge sign to close after use to prevent fire was left open Fri-Monday. I let management know and it remained open. I asked for compensation. They said they'd call by Monday. No call I called the manager who said the owner is on holiday so he is waiting to get approval and I will hear back within a week but they will give me a free stay at one of their properties. I asked for a refund. No response
