The picture was deceptive & inaccurate.
Arrived in the heat of the afternoon with no working a/c. Not a good start to our stay. The host was very nice, apologetic & offered us 2-3 free nights for any future return.
I believe this place is probably pretty busy when the surf is right. When I was there, it was primarily just me. I had the whole upstairs to myself. The king bed was very comfortable (there were 4 beds and two futons to choose from), and the place was clean. The owner was an exceptional communicator. I give this place 5-stars for those reasons.
Note that this is not a luxury suite. It's a great little hostel-style accommodation, with an outdoor kitchen downstairs, and AC is in the main bedroom only. It's close to the beach, pretty quiet neighborhood (except the morning rooster calls, but kind of endearing), and certainly kept clean. It was an easy drive north to Sayulita, San Pancho, and beyond. East drive south to Puerto Vallarta. Thanks for the stay!
Such a perfect little place! Our room was upstairs and had a table and chairs to sit at with umbrella. AC was strong. The kitchen is with a large refrigerator though without a stove but there is a communal kitchen for cooking which was outdoors and had everything we needed. Tom was a gracious host walking us around town with cold beers in hand. Mauro is the groundskeeper who arranged a visit to Islas Marietas. If you feel up for hiking in the jungle to an absolutely worth it view ask about Cerro de Mono.
I could go on and on. We were there two days and wish we didnt go to Sayulita after our âat homeâ welcoming experience. It was hard to leave this quiet town and new friends, beautiful beaches and super chill place.
