I stayed here for a week and the property did not match the listing or its high rating. I booked in August and was overcharged before my stay, and didn’t get the refund until October after disputing it with my bank.
When we arrived, the unit had peeling walls, stains, unfinished patches, and moisture around the vents. The toilet handle was broken and there was missing hardware for the toilet paper holder. The handle was fixed only after I requested it.
The biggest issue was the water. My shower had almost no pressure, sprayed unevenly, and never got hot—only barely warm. It wasn’t strong enough to rinse shampoo or conditioner. I had to use my friend’s shower because it had slightly more pressure and got a little warmer, though still not truly hot.
The cookware was unusable with scratched, peeling nonstick coating. The host offered to reimburse me if I bought a new pan, but after the overcharge issue, I didn’t trust that would actually happen. The pans were never replaced. Basic essentials like paper towels, detergent, pot holders, or safe pans were not provided, so we had to go to Walmart and Sam’s Club next door to buy them.
The coffee pot also overflowed, but the host did replace it promptly. While communication was polite, the overall maintenance and lack of essentials made the stay disappointing. The location and view are great, but I would not stay here again based on my experience
