« Loved how clean and pet friendly the cabin was! It was a very cozy place and we especially enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and listening to the creek right next to us! »

« gorgeous place up in the woods. you wont see a neighbor or traffic. nice little brook out back with an excellent sound. Front porch rockin' chairs were a favorite. Franklin WV is 4 miles away with a few restaurants and groceries if you care. Kitchen was great and had all the necessary things. turn off all the lights and step outside at night and it is pitch black except for the stars. WIFI was very handy and TV had Samsung streaming apps. »

« This will be our 3rd time visiting this area and this time was the best. There were amazing views, the house was clean, utensils, towels, soap, pillows, blankets etc.. As soon as we opened the door there was a bottle of wine just for us. We opened it, made a fire in the fire pit and relaxed!! The hostes was great responding back to questions. We are about to schedule another visit in July. We highly recommend this one!! You'll love it!!! »

The house is fabulous - huge open concept living/dining room & kitchen, two generous sized bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom, and although we didn't need to use it, the house has a laundry room on the first floor. Excellent location in Parsons - right on the river! Close to Thomas, Davis, Blackwater Falls, Canaan Valley, & Dolly Sods. »

« The Rusty Lantern is a spacious cabin with all the amenities and a wonderful view of the mountains of West Virginia. Everything is spotless and nothing has been overlooked. The appliances look brand new and the furnishings and decorative touches tell a story as well as being lovely to regard. The hosts are super responsive and helpful. Highly recommended. »

« The cabin is extremely well-appointed and immaculate. The only thing we wished we had was more time to enjoy it! All appliances are brand new, with plenty of hot water and the heating system kept up with the 20 degree weather without issue.The scenery is amazing and during our week-long stay we were visited by three deer a couple of times and at least 6 types of birds. We enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck as much as we did the absolute peace and quiet, which made up for the 30 minute drive...

« As always great stay, great responsive hosts. There were 6 of us, 3 adults and 3 kids. If this cabin is designed for 6 people I would recommend the host to add 3 chairs to the dining table. Otherwise everything worked great! »
