You get what you pay for, I loved Roatán. The breakfast and staff were the best part. We found a cockroach in the kitchen sink. The bed was a king but VERY hard. The water in shower was very hot little pressure. I enjoyed myself not sure I’d stay again when I return. I’m shocked at the expensive shuttle service to the airport. You can do better.

Our family of 4 stayed at Caribe Tesoro on a recent trip to Roatan. We stayed in the Starfish Mini Suite. Positives- * Nice Hot water showers * Could borrow passes from the main office to use the Bananarama beach chairs on non cruise ship days * Could easily walk on the boardwalk to get to West Bay beach, restaurants, and great snorkeling in just a few minutes * Provided with plenty of drinking water from a water dispenser in the hotel room * Mini fridge to keep food we purchased at the store * Coffee Pot with reusable coffee filter so we could make our own coffee * Provided us with extra pillow and blanket when we asked * Space was a little tight but fit our family of 4 * The pool seemed clean enough * Easy to grab a drink at the bar/restaurant * For the most part the staff was friendly and helpful. Challenges- * The pull out couch bed was not comfortable for the children. It was very creaky and had the uncomfortable bar right across the middle. We ended up moving the couch mattress to the floor so the children could attempt to get comfortable sleep. For this reason alone I would not book a Caribe Tesoro Mini Suite again. * Construction going on right overhead. It looks like they are adding 2 or 3 floors above the mini suite we stayed in. The construction noise was VERY loud during the day. We were tired from traveling and adventuring and could not have napped if we wanted to. I wish they would not book these rooms to guests while this construction is going on.

The staff was phenomenal! From the reception desk to the cleaning staff to the staff at breakfast and especially, Jack, the security man! Always helpful and willing to go out of their way. The location was great. We were sad to leave! The were converting to a fresh water pool while we there and hopefully they get it figured out. If they do we will definitely be back!

The boardwalk accessing the property on either side was in need of repairs with boards missing. We were most dissappointed in that we had booked our stay and paid half up front for a certain theme room and did not get the room we booked. No notice that it was not available after a 10 month advance booking and payment and no offer to compensate us other than offering another room which was not at all what we hoped for. An offer to reduce the rate would have gone a long way. Most mornings the breakfast that was included was cold. Could use some help in the kitchen even making toast. On a plus, the Staff were great and it was clean...So much so that my husbands shorts were ruined with bleach from the bathroom floor. Other guests we spoke with said they had also stayed at the Caribe in previous years but it has changed and like us would not stay there again. It looks like the rooms are all being sold out privately anyway.

Thanks for the feedback. The boardwalk is a troublesome topic as that requires Municipal approval which is hard to get in a timely manner - we've been trying for the last 2 years. We will take into consideration the remarks on our kitchen staff and will ensure we fine-tune our service timings. We're sorry about the room but The Castle was sold in 2023 and rooms were changed to themed rooms so we've had to accommodate room reservations. We'd love to chat more to get your feedback, please feel free to email us!

We did reach out before to let you know and also made alternate arrangements for you to enjoy a pool at our partner resort, had you let us know it was less than desirable our team would have tried to make up for it while you were on site. As you know the Caribbean has been hit by some pretty terrible storms the last few weeks so our construction timeline was delayed greatly. We’re hoping you give us another chance and come back to enjoy our Caribbean Treasure!

We stayed at Hacienda Caribe Tasoro the second week of Sept. We had an amazing time. The room was fabulous beyond belief!! Everything was top notch. The staff was awesome too. The breakfast crew, Tashawna and Christina were grwat serving the best coffee i have ever had and cooking to order great food. Rene and Danny were the bartenders at the swim up bar in the evening and they served up some great evening libations. They were friendly and helpful always giving suggestion and ideas for things to do. Danny even went out and found me a pound of the coffee they served for me to bring home. Great time great people!! We will go back and when we do we will be staying at the Hacienda!!

Staff was great. Love the location. Liked having bottled water in the room. Pool was out of service, due to updates, however we understand, sometimes work needs to be done. We loved Roatan

Nice cozy place (2nd time staying there), quiet and relaxing. Staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. However, the property is lacking in the maintenance area. The pool was dirty and the waterworks were not functioning. Also, no hot water in the shower. Everything else was fine.

Caribe is on a great stretch of the beach and the staff are overall very friendly and engaged - hotel staff in particular are very quick to respond if you need anything, such as an AC being fixed or water dispenser refilled. Lovely room and the only small issue whilst I was there was that there was a lot of renovation - loud construction - going on that wasn't ideal. Nonetheless, absolutely would recommend!

We booked our room 6 months in advance and didn’t find out out until the day we checked in that our room was being worked on. We were really excited about that room and it’s unique qualities.

Wonderful place to stay and relax! Great food, friendly and very helpful staff that think of everything, great views, next to West Bay beach, shops and restaurants, very clean, etc. Best part was watching a flock of macaws that visited every day! We will stay here again when we come back!

Great stay at Caribe Tesoro. The staff was so friendly and wonderful and we were in a great location. The best part was when the cruises came in we could easily escape from the crowds to our home away from home and enjoy pool, food and drink.

The people are very nice service is good, the hotel is nothing like the pictures on Expedia I felt like I was in a 3rd world country for the money I spend it was not worth it, the people on the beach harassed you all day long to buy stuff and to get messages.

Cool older property right off the main beach. Nice rooms but our room didn't have a fridge (some did). Beautiful deck to have the included breakfast. Smaller property so you got to know guests and staff easily. Pool wasn't much but didn't need it as it was a short walk to the gorgeous beach. Staff was great and very helpful. They have a small restaurant and a nice pier to dine on...many restaurants very close. The restaurants have beach chairs to use but charge for them on days cruise ships came in.

Thank you Scott for your feed back We glad to have you stayed with us We offer beach chairs to all of our guest Cruise and non cruise ship days for free VIP past are pick up at the front desk when you are ready to use the chairs … The resort you go to use the beach chairs is the Bananarama beach and dive resort we recommend that you go days that there is no cruise as there is so much people .. We are working on new ideas coming soon for our pool like moving from salt water to fresh water :) glad you enjoy your stay here with us and hope to have you back to

tried to give us wrong room. Tried to blame expedia for giving false information when it is the property that provides that info. out of food for the included breakfast. When you only offer 5 different things, how are you out of 2 of them every morning? onsite manager hides to try not to deal with issues. the sewer smell through out the entryway to the property is horrible. Pool (salt water) is disgusting. only changed once a week and gets stagnant with the heat. The state of disrepair in our unit was unbelievable. loose faucets that came off in your hand. razor sharp shower drains, that are bent to try and make them fit. bath towels that should be in the rag pile. pool towels were nice. only 2 lounge chairs on the entire property for use if you didn't have a suite. food was just adequate. The staff, other than the manager, is amazing. They try so hard to do a great job, but are not provided with the means to do it. this could be a pretty good place but owners just don't care. they have another property down the beach they concentrate on.

Hi Richard , We sincerely apologize for the issues that you may have encounter during your stay Hacienda caribe Tesoro do not have an on-sight manager, but does have shift manager that can and able to take care of any problems you may have encountered during your stayed with us .. Owners are super caring and other property down the beach are handle by different owners and separate managements We have a few lounge chairs on site and only had them taken out once guest asked for them All chairs are locked near the pool area Thank you for staying and we apologies for any situations you may have encountered

Beautiful ocean view
Overall good experience except at departure. The website advertises free airport shuttle when staying more than 3 days. It was not honored by the manager, sadly. Rooms were beautiful, but roof start leaking into the room while raining and a pipe broken was flooding bathroom during the bath. Location is good, i would recommend to get a rental car to explore the island.
