Check-in and check-out were complicated, and required coordinating with another hotel in the piazza. Communications and instructions were poor, leaving us frustrated, calling various phone numbers in order to get help.
The room itself was beautiful, but there was no natural light. There were two windows with opaque glass; one could be opened onto an internal space filled with scaffolding and various building materials; the other window could not be opened.
The jacuzzi in the room functioned very poorly, and depleted the water supply to the bathroom. For over 12 hours, we had no water in the bathroom. The toilet paper was not replenished, and we ran out.
The room is large and beautiful, but so new that many details have not been thought through, leaving the client to his own devices. Communication and instructions are insufficient or poor, and we had to learn many things the hard way. Upon leaving the room, and attendant helped us to leave our suitcases in a locked closet, but no one was there to open that closet for us when we wanted to get the suitcases out. We had to wait 15 minutes for someone to show up, calling all kinds of phone numbers for help in the meantime. When we finally got in, and could retrieve our luggage, the front desk person showed us a plaque on the wall containing the correct phone number to call, but no one had showed us this upon check-in.
