« We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at this cottage in Staithes. Perfectly located 3 doors from the Cod & Lobster, we were lucky that the mixed weather allowed us to enjoy a coffee on the front bench, overlooking the beach and harbour, in the morning sun every day! Can't fault the cottage where pretty much everything is provided for your stay including a mini library with many interesting celebrity bios and plenty of other books you wouldn't expect! « The outside of the property looks quite run down, but the actual apartment itself is beautiful. I could not fault the cleanliness, the beautiful bedlinen and fresh towels, but the bed itself was very uncomfortable and sagged, which made for an unpleasant night sleep. I ended up sleeping on the sofa! We were left no soap or shampoo as advertised, no washing up liquid, although we were left dishwasher tablets for a non-existent dishwasher!! Annoying as had to go out and buy these things. Really...

« Newly refurbished to high standard. Being a 3 storey cottage space can be an issue and open plan steep stairs may be a problem for some. Location excellent. Would return. »

« Spacious, well equipped, clean and within 5 minutes walk of restaurants, bars and supermarkets. It worked perfectly for our party of 4 adults. We were prepared for the stairs up to the second floor so considered it as training! We had lots of kit for walking, running and swimming, so shelves/ drawers in the bedrooms wouldn’t have gone amiss and a few hooks for towels/coats would have been useful but there was plenty of floor space for all our stuff.
