Our experience with this VRBO was extremely disappointing.Two weeks before our stay, I messaged Truman through VRBO asking two short question. I received no response. Six days before arrival, I left a brief voicemail. His text reply was, "What could be so pressing that you're calling me so persistently? I am travelling. You will get directions 24 hours before check-in." I was shocked and didn't contact him again.He later confirmed we could not check in early, so we arrived at the scheduled 3:00 p.m. check-in time. The cleaners were still there, so we left for 45 minutes. When we returned, only half the house had been cleaned. Two bedrooms and the upstairs kitchen still had unmade beds, garbage, and hadn't been cleaned. VRBO couldn't reach Truman, and after a long delay he finally responded by text. Our family, including my 88-year-old grandmother, couldn't get ready for our wedding and were very upset.Even after the cleaning was finished, the bathtub faucet didn't work, the ice maker didn't work, there were no ice trays, and we found hair left in a bathroom sink.After we returned home, I requested a partial refund because the home wasn't ready at check-in and we lost valuable time. Truman refused any compensation. Based on the lack of communication, incomplete cleaning, maintenance issues, and refusal to make things right, I cannot recommend this property. Worst VRBO stay I have ever had. House is cute but don't be fooled!
