Was a nice welcome from Stuart.. Not the most modern hotel.. But we have a great stay.. Bed was comfortable and it was quiet.. Would stay there again.. 👍

Had a lovely large room, my stay was perfect. Traveling solo, this was the largest room I ever had by myself. Walking distance to train station, close to everything I needed. Had 2 good sleeps, fairly quiet area at night (even though not far from pubs etc. if that is desired), would definitely stay again.

Trying hard to improve
One night, 2 rooms. Helpful having one on ground floor. Manager very helpful. Hotel needs some modernisation as dated and smell of dogs put me off. Its a shame as could be much better. Also get rid of 4 poster and net trimmingss, toilet mats must go.

Awful- had to check out as Police and Council was found at the hotel; something obviously happened; HOTEL was adamant that .. nothing happened. Stay away.

Comfortable Stay
A warm welcome from the host, brought us free bottles of water which was a god send throughout the night! Really comfortable beds. Short walk to the centre, north & south harbour & close to the Open Air Theatre

Great place to stay and stuart was a great host nothing too much trouble, not that the lads wanted for anything, great location 10 mins walk down to seafront unless you hit every pub on way down then it takes slightly longer. Really comfortable beds and great shower all you need really.

Good value stay!
We was greeted upon check-in and shown to our room. The room was in good condition, very clean and had reasonable facilities. We only had a slight issue with parking otherwise the stay was comfortable. Good value for money. Would recommend.

Disastrous booking
This was a disastrous booking. We are 2 friends who understood we were booking a room with 2 beds. When we arrived there was noone who knew which room was booked. A friend of the landlady took an hour trying to contact her. He finally showed us a room with one small double bed. After more delays when we tried to get a different room, he said there was no other rooms free (although there was a vacancies sign in the window). We then left with an assurance from the landlady's helper that we would be refunded. There was no way of talking to the landlady by phone or in person. We tried to get a refund via hotels.com. This proved a very frustrating process with long delays on phone conversations and an unworkable call back phone number given. Finally the refund was refused. This is the worst experience I have had after many years travel. The refund refusal was totally unreasonable and unacceptable. The refund process via hotels.com was very frustrating and difficult.

Room clean and tidy Decorated lovely BUT Got there 6pm Friday night Rang bell for 15 minutes no answer Went for tea Rang bell for another 15 minutes then another resident let us in Tried phoning went to answer phone After about 20 minutes a man came and we eventually got our key No apology Very bad service
