« Really cute place! The kitchen is well-equipped, the king-sized bed is very comfy, and the hot tub on the deck was sparkling clean and SO relaxing. Lovely view of the surrounding mountains, and the location is halfway between two of the Shenandoah National Park entrance stations, so it's very convenient. One note: based on the size of the shower and the tightly-spaced upstairs bathroom, this would not be a good choice for tall visitors! »

« The cabin was perfect for an overnight stay. It was so secluded and the woods were beautiful. We were able to walk to the winery/brewery down the road and spent a lovely night by the fire. We were comfortable sleeping in the cabin with the windows open. The farm was very cool although the llama (alpaca?) didn't seem to like me :) The owner was amazing and went above and beyond when we left something behind. Would definitely recommend as a unique overnight stay. »

« Absolutely fabulous home! Stayed two nights with 8 friends for a ladies weekend and had a wonderful experience. The house is situated beautifully, well equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen, and had extremely comfortable beds. We loved being so close to the Old Rag trailhead, and also got to enjoy the local area as well. Elena (host) was extremely responsive and accommodating. Would highly recommend. »

« We went up for a 4 day weekend planning to do a little kayaking and fishing, but the rain was not in our favor. River levels were high and water was moving fast! The house has been remodeled and very nice. We did eat breakfast in and there where pots and pan there for us to use. « Check-in was great. The Castaway Cottage was just how it was listed. The back porch was the best part, it was big enough for the whole family to hang out. Unfortunately when we were there it was very hot and the ceiling fans on the porch did not work. Maintenance came to try and fix them but he could not. « Had an amazing family gathering! The house is really large, and accommodated us well. The layout makes the house feel a bit of a maze, and there is only one en-suite, but we found everything we needed! Two small issues- the top bunks in the 2-bunk room didn’t have railings so our kids were afraid to sleep up there, and the septic system caused some problem, but had great response from the owners and the maintaince personnel came out quickly. »
