« Unfortunately this was not a great experience. The hotel in itself is quite nice although it shows its age (old carpet, soiled walls etc). We were lucky to have a corner room and these are spacious and with a great view. Avoid going there on weekends: it’s packed and noisy. Weekdays are good. The main issue was with some of the staff. « The amenities and location of the property made it a super comfortable and relaxing stay. It was beautifully designed and the view was great! (Worth the uphill climb and slight detour from the main shimanami kaido route!) Smooth and easy communication with the owner. Google maps location was accurate. Breakfast provided was decent. If you are staying in the property for more meals, bring more food along. Kitchen is well furnished. Will choose to stay here again! »

« This was the middle hotel on our 75 km Shimanami bike ride and we arrived very hot and tired. The room was not ready for us, but the staff happily took our bags so we could enjoy the town while the room was being prepared. Once we arrived in it, the room was a beautiful newly constructed all wood artsy dream place. « Let me start by saying if you’re looking for a high-end luxury resort this property is not it. The room was rather Spartan and the bathing facilities are shared and public (as in public to the hotel). That said the staff, even with their marginal language skills were amazingly accommodating, and the view from the top of the hill that this hotel sits on is unparalleled! It was a beautiful location in an amazing place that gave us tremendous opportunity to explore the entire area. »
