„great location, pleasant staff, but whoever planned this hostel put in way too few toilets per bed (two small stalls at each floor - 1 star less) and no showers or washrooms at all except for some in the onsen at the first floor (1 star less) making staying a bit uncomfortable and crowded in this regard.“

„Nice small capsula hotel, clean and safe. In the lobby is a publicly accessible, open restaurant, but you do not hear or smell it in the rooms. The area itself is not spectacular, but that was not the reason anyway: it is very near the airport and to a train station to the airport. For this reason: highly recommendable:-)“

„Has an onsen which every room could reserve once per day. Shuttle Service to Gora Station and breakfast(western or eastern style) could be setup the day before. Dinner was also available in the evening which is great when coming back late from hiking. “

„It's a great place to stay – with an outdoor and an indoor onsen! Completely traditional rooms with tamati, chabudai and futon. All rooms and of course the onsen chamber are clean – and the onsen itself is great. I loved spending a night in this property. Many thanks also to the friendly and helpful staff!“

„Ryokan Plum is very cozy and beautiful. In our tired moments, just relaxing in our room or the lobby was a fantastic pastime. The staff was extremely friendly and proactively helping us in arriving, with local recommendations, or feel at ease in the guesthouse. Gorokichi, the slightly grumpy but cozy orange tabby cat, is also a huge plus.“
