„Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Peter empfangen. Unser Zimmer war in einem separaten Gebäude, nett gemacht, groß und sauber. Der Hauseigene Garten ist eine Wohlfühloase. Morgens bekamen wir ein tolles Frühstück nach Wunsch serviert. Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es ausreichend. Und wer sich in dieses Örtchen verirrt, hat es zu Alton Towers nicht weit. Essensmöglichkeiten gibt es in Gehweite.“

„Lovely little property with beautiful surrounding farms and scenery. Good facilities and a great shower. Kitchen was very well equipped. Second room was far too small for our 15 year old ... would be fine for a toddler. Great location for nearby attraction. If you want to enjoy and sit outside in the garden/gravel drive area you’ll need some furniture. “

„What an excellent property we found! 12 of us stayed for mum's 65th birthday. Welcomed to the smell of mulled wine & mince pies. Nicely decorated for Christmas throughout. Fantastic, peaceful location. Clean and comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. No need to take anything other than clothes, the property had everything needed. Owners were fantastic. Great communction beforehand. Would definitely return again.“

I rarely leave reviews up to this point but was left feeling like this 'apartment' is a room in a multi occupancy house and it felt a bit.....what's the right word......DHSS ish. I didn't use the communal kitchen as someone in there was, well a bit weird, looking disturbed. I just think I was looking for cheap and cheerful. It was cheap. “

„Property was clean. Not as stated entire property. Shared facilities. Bathroom via the kitchen on ground floor had child. Did not feel we could relax here as thought we had entire apartment. Outside next to little shop. Traffic island outside meant couldnt park outside and single line. Area around property made us feel unsafe- wasnt the best.“

„The staff and the breakfast were amazing however the rooms have no shampoo (body wash is not going to do it for me), no lotion, no tissues and no phone. No phone makes it extremely difficult for overseas visitors to contact reception. Even the charming lady on reception who confirmed that these amenities were not offered in the hotel states that they were a budget hotel ‘but maybe not - we are quite expensive’. “

„Man merkt, dass das Hotel schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise war es aber dennoch angenehm, vor allem wegen dem direkten Anschluss an die Autobahn. “

„Room was filthy. Freezing cold all night even with windows shut, no radiator in room. Drug bags down the side of the bed. Stains on the duvet. Damp towel left on floor. Uncooked pizza on windowsill from last occupant so room clearly wasn’t cleaned. Entire room smelt of cigarettes. Avoid“

„Nice clean, comfortable property with everything you need. Comfortably sleeps 10. And it really is less than five minutes walk to Alton Towers! Definitely stay here again. “
