We will definitely stay here again if we're in Sparta. Interesting decor and design. Comfortable and clean. Handy access to Elroy-Sparta State Trail and easy walking to downtown. Our only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that the sprinkler system in the commons area appeared to be leaking—there was a 5-gallon of water and lots of towels below it. Both the commons area and our suite had a slight "basement" smell, lending to the idea that the leak had gone unattended. This then made us wonder whether the sprinkler system would work should there be a fire. I'm sure these details will soon be given attention and the place will be back to a 5-star rating.
