Over all a good Experience.
Nicholas Cage was definitely an unexpected surprise. But was a unique experience that I’m sure me and my friends will joke about for time to come. I did think the front yard look messy with the excessive amount of trees. And stair to the loft are steep and should be included in the listing. Those are just minor inconveniences out experience was over all a great one and I would choose this place again.

Eclectic and fun home!
We were immediately entranced by the home setup and decor. It exceeded our expectations and had a delightful time finding all the themed art pieces around the house. Minimal kitchen wares, but worked out because we brought our own. Would definitely book again next time we come through St. Louis.

The Nicolas Cage decor was great! We loved the effort that went into it. It was decently clean; however, it was very cold in the property. When we went to sleep it was 60 degrees in there and we had no way to change it.

Wow
Okay so if you are as obsessed with Nicholas cage as this dude is then this place will be your dream air b&b but for any one else. Seriously it’s CREEPY!!!! and you can definitely tell not a single women’s touch is in this place! It is also “guy” clean! Meaning the top layer of everything with a quick glance looks clean but once you actually sit there and look you can see all the cobwebs every where bird feathers by the open windows stained couch price tags all over up stairs! Oh and it had a FUNCKY smell and the trash out back all over the place was pretty funcky too. The dude could do a lot of stuff with this place and has a lot of potential but bro ditch the nick theme! He’s old a hella weird in the first place!

Nicholas Cage
While I’m definitely not the biggest Nicholas Cage fan the owner definitely is. The owner went to great lengths to make this property one of a kind. We stayed here for a girls weekend trip in St. Louis and would definitely stay again. The property is conveniently located and a short drive from what I feel is everything. Property owner was responsive and great! I can’t say enough good things about our stay or this very unique property.

Great!
The funky loft was perfect for the price! It worked out well for my family. It gave us all a bit of privacy while also being cozy. The Nicholaus cage decor was humorous. I’m not sure why there are bad reviews. I think the owner was very responsive and even allowed us a late check out. My kids and I had a great time! It was a very inexpensive vacay and great for the little bit of mo ey we paid. Thank you so much Jack!

Surprising and cozy
Though there might be moisture and heat issues in the basement and shower especially durring the winter and early spring its hard to hate on this place when you see pictures from when the place was sold in 2018. This owner put in a lot of work to make this humous decor feel like a safe industrial loft. We didnt have many hand or paper towels and couldnt figure out the dishwasher but when a nick cage movie popped up on tv it was too funny. Would totally stay again next time if i prepare myself more

Wasted Potential-DO NOT STAY HERE
At first glance, this property is very inviting with a cool vibe and a lot to like. Sadly, if you look even a little bit closer, the lack of care is evident. Cleanliness for any stay should be a prerequisite, not a perk. This space was unreasonably dirty. Films of dust over every surface, empty alcohol bottles under beds, cigarette butts throughout the interior, and abandoned food in the oven(yes, seriously) are just the start of the obvious lack of any meaningful upkeep. Additionally, all of the dishes that were provided were filthy and the owner clearly didn't feel the need to provide us with any means to clean them. There were no pods or liquid to be able to run the dishwasher nor simple dish soap to wash by hand. Even if there had been, the only sponge that was provided was festering in white mold. Even wanting to do something as mundane as watch TV during your stay is a chore. Despite looking in every thinkable place for a useable remote to control the living room TV, we were unable to find one and had to resort to downloading a remote app on my phone. I sent the owner a message to see if they had an idea where it might be and received a reply say that it should be there and that they were waiting to hear back from the cleaner about it. Given the condition of the place I question whether there even is a cleaner and disappointingly never received further follow up. Most concerningly though, is the fact that all the smoke detectors were covered like some college dorm.

Waiting on return money
Upon arrival couldn't get in contact with host to get in property. House wasnt cleaned and linens were on the floor. Told the host that I would take care of it. He agreed to give a discount meaning the cleaning fee would be waived. Booked more days to stay thinking monies would be refunded. Weeks later still no refund. The neighbor was caught coming out of the back yard and side of the house when asked what was she doing she looked shocked and kept walking. I had my fur baby with me so everyone I would let him out to use the restroom she would let her dog out and of course chaos came from the dogs interactions. Overall the house was amazing I would stay again but I need my refund.

This property is so close to being amazing
Upon entering the space, the high ceilings invite you towards the loft rooms above. The exposed brick accentuates the eclectic artistic charm. The arcade game was very loud but functional. The garden suite downstairs was musty with a very uncomfortable bed on an uneven floor. There are plenty of sleeping spaces without using cellar "garden suite" which also housed the laundry which was so great to have. The downstairs was one space that offered separation of space. Everywhere else you can hear each other. The tub had some major issues, but the kids still were able to enjoy the jacuzzi function. With some updates to the bathroom and some thought put into the lighting, this place would be amazing. The homage to Nicolas Cage was fantastic and weird, we loved it.

Don't be fooled
The aesthetic of this place was great and the host was very accommodating in letting us check in early. Still, Very disappointed with cleanliness. Old dusty cob webs, very dusty, bath tub was not cleaned, there was hairs from previous renters. Another huge problem was the heat, the furnace kept blowing cold air into the place and all that was there was one space heater and the thermostat is locked. There were no extra thicker blankets either. We were freezing at night. The adults originally tried to stay in the basement room, bed was 3 inches off the floor, with a futon mattress that was very uncomfortable. It almost felt like the platform was broken. We decided to use the pull out the following night. Opened the pull out, the mattress was old and stained, very gross. No mattress protectors on any of the beds. Fridge was dirty, freezer needs to be cleaned out as well. Looked as something red spilled in freezer and has never been cleaned out. Finally they should be more attentive to light bulbs, batteries and the operation of things like the Mario game that was there. The video game was without directions and unplayable. I found 3 essential lights with burnt bulbs. A missing remote for basement TV and dead batteries in remote in living room. Also, had to do a hunt for a plunger. In other words the place looks great in pictures. The decorations were amazing and there were some comforts but not enough to recommend or go back too.

Cutest little slice of heaven
This was our absolute favorite place to stay out of any time we have traveled! All of the artwork and quirky decorations really made my family smile. It was clean and had everything we needed for our weekend. We will definitely stay there again.
