The house was lovely and clean and we enjoyed our stay. It smelled clean when we arrived, but not perfume-y, which was perfect, because we have allergies. However, there were a few things we found lacking. We were there for Thanksgiving weekend and my daughter wanted to make a small Thanksgiving dinner. We brought a crockpot with us and a few pots and pans, because we realized there might not be much at the Vrbo, but there were other things we expected would be there that were not. The biggest issue was there was no can opener. I went over to a neighbor’s house, explained the situation, and borrowed one briefly to open three cans. Other things we would have liked to have at the Vrbo: plastic wrap or aluminum foil; chip clips, oven mitts, kitchen tools such as a whisk and a masher. The dishwasher detergent pods looked really old, so we bought some of our own. We were not able to find laundry detergent at all. We could have used more tissue boxes. The provided shampoo in the main bathroom was nearly gone. The pool area was nice, except for the fact that the cleaning people have apparently been missing it. The rest of the house is really clean, but the patio had handprints/fingerprints on the outside of the doors (on the wood) and there was a bandaid stuck to one of the lounge chairs. It was a cool and windy weekend, so we didn’t use the pool much. My teenagers tried it once and reported that they didn’t think it was heated as advertised.
