🐻 A Friendly Heads-Up About Our Bear Wire:
Like many homes in Lake Tahoe, our front entry has an electric bear-deterrent wire to help keep local bears away. It's a normal part of mountain living here! Before entering, simply switch it off at the box next to the front door. Step-by-step instructions are in your Guest Portal.
A past guest mentioned an electrical shock at the entry. This was the bear wire, and we've since addressed the concerns from that review and added clear instructions so every guest knows what to expect. We're always just a message away if you have any questions. 😊
