This place is amazing! Many different hiking trails. Some easy. Some a bit tougher. The “vertical mile challenge trail” is tough for those of us who are out of shape! BRING WATER!!!! Amazing views, chances to spot wildlife, rock climbing (with a permit) and a cute little playground area for the kids. With a reservation you can also camp here too! Check it out if you’re in the area. You will not be disappointed.

« Clean, cute, comfortable cottage! Our family including our dog enjoyed our relaxing stay - movies by the fire, hot baths, crafting at the kitchen table, and cooking good food. We had fun in the area - hiking state parks (Mount Jefferson and Rendezvous), National Park System Brinegar Cabin, Blue Ridge Parkway, Emerald Hollow Mine, Love Valley (horse only town) Christmas parade/ tree lighting, and a mead flight at Stardust Cellars (kid and dog friendly). « This little place is wonderful. We had a great time...We are a family of 5, and we all fit comfortably in the home. There is plenty of space for sleeping, and considering that the cottage isn't huge, the daybeds with trundles did not make it feel cluttered or tight. We loved access to the washer and dryer. The retro feel of the kitchen was a major highlight - loved the red fridge! :) Appreciated the coffee...Also liked that there were pans (baking included!) to make snacks like pizza and...
