What a great stay, Mari and team where very pleasant and accommodating. Hired Chef through OM was spectacular. Breakfast and dinner out side everyday on the patio with amazing views. We will return.
The villa was exactly as described. A wonderfulsetting with many places to sit and relax. Mari and Jose kept the house and grounds in tip top shape. Beds were comfortable. We loved being able to quickly get to the beach. You do need water shoes if walking into the water in front of the villa. We went snorkeling and saw a large variety of fish and a couple of rays. Unfortunately the coral has died but some is slowly growing back. We had Vera as our chef for the week. With 2 babies with us it was so easy and the food was delicious and varied. D
One week in paradise! Perfect yard, pool, beach, and house. The staff were excellent in every way, especially keeping the grounds very well maintained each morning. Thanks for the wonderful getaway.
Our book club of 20 years stayed at the house to celebrate a friendâs milestone birthday. The road getting down there is very bumpy and a bit treacherous, but once we were there, we had an amazing time. The pool and beach are gorgeous and Maria took such good care of us and the house during our stay. We also hired a chef for two meals through a recommendation from the concierge, and he was outstanding. Highly recommend this option, which was affordable and delicious! Property is close to town and the ruins and a short beach walk away from two restaurants.
The photographs do not do the home justice. Soliman Bay is fairly remote, you reach the home along a fairly bumpy dirt road, which may feel off putting, however it is short and there is a security gate before entering the properties. There is a stunning boutique hotel at the start of the bay, and aside from another beach restaurant (which only opened in December), there are no other commercial stores in the bay. Which was perfect for us. The newly opened bar/restaurant is amazing by the way. Possibly the best ceviche I have ever had. The house sits right on the beach, and we had every meal on the patio. The views are stunning. It is quiet, neighbours are quiet and respectful and the home is spacious and comfortable. Maria and Daniel who look after the home speak no English, but are the most generous and lovely people you will ever meet. Every morning the home was cleaned back to check in standard. This takes a lot of pressure off being parents :) All in all I would stay here again in a heart beat.
Our Christmas Family Vacation at Villa Tres Delfines was nothing short of wonderful! Nestled perfectly in Soliman Bay, a cab ride from Downtown Tulum, the location was perfectly private, with the shared beach just steps out the back door. Maria and Daniel kept the house and grounds pristinely. We highly recommend the Manta Ray restaurant just up the beach!
It was 6 of us staying at this amazing property. It was our little beach gateway after attending a wedding in Merida. The property is as advertised....right on the beach. There is a pool behind the house on the non-beach side, which is perfect as you can spend the mornings in the pool when there is still a bit of shade and then you migrate to the beachside in the afternoon. As this is a private beach / gated community it is super quiet.
As many other guests have pointed out the caretakers of the property are amazing, beyond attententive, and always ready to help...with anything!!! From keeping the place spotless (inside and out), to hanging up clotheslines for our washing to organizing drivers for day trips. And no, they don't speak English, which isn't a problem at all, just makes some good use of your miming skills, your basic Spanish and Google Translate ;-)
To summarize: this is exactly as advertised! And we enjoyed every second of it!
This property is about 15mins away from both Tulum and Akumal, lots to do nearby. It's a 7 min drive down a gravel road from the highway and in the neighborhood there is a hotel restaurant (we didn't get a chance to go), not much else, but this makes it very quiet/private/feels very safe. You definitely need to be prepared as far as food and needs because it's a bit of a trip to get anything as far as groceries (we had some groceries delivered on arrival).
What we loved: The pool is so refreshing and is good for young kids, our 3 yr old could stand in the shallow part and loved playing there. They have a crib and highchair. Property supplies enough drinking water in large jug. We had Chef Vera make us dinner 3 nights and this was the best food we had on the trip. Highly recommended. Marie kept the house spotless every day. The beach was nice, some rocks as you wade in but otherwise very calm, kayaks were great. Saragasso was not terrible most days and there was service that cleaned it up in the morning. The AC in the bedrooms works well.
What could have been better:
No AC in the common area which made it not as pleasant to be together in the evenings after dinner or in the morning while eating breakfast inside. Would be nice to have some sort of AC there. Without the chef, would have been hard to prepare meals because there are no basics like oil, etc stocked in the kitchen. Would have been great to have small supply of kitchen basics and small amount of laundry detergent.
We absolutely loved our visit. It was my wife and I with two married children and a grandbaby. The hosts were amazing and the setting was gorgeous. There is so much to do in the close vicinity. We did not want to leave.
Thank you to everyone associated with Tres Delfines who made this visit possible
We (party of 8- ages 5 thru 71) had a fantastic time at Tres Delfines. Arul did a great job communicating, and we appreciated the detailed directions to find the house. The house/groundkeepers, Maria and Daniel, were friendly and efficient in all they did. The house was spotless when we arrived, and they ensured it stayed that way.
Overall the house is well equipped...and there was ample hot water in the bathrooms. Only complaint was there was no hot water in the kitchen. Beds were firm and comfortable. We loved the variety of seating areas and hammocks- no matter what time of day you could find either shade or sun. It was fairly windy several days, but with the pool on the back side (opposite of beach) it was protected from the wind. Pool was clean.
Overall a great stay with great hosts.
Had a wonderful stay here in Tulum. The location was perfect. Beautiful beach in a calm protected bay. The water was crystal clear which made for easy swimming for our five year old daughter. Water shoes are helpful to get past some coral near the shore. We snorkeled right from shore and saw some cool fish but it is best to take the kayaks to the reef nearby as we saw alot more fish out there. The ocean was extremely warm which was nice. There was a small amount of sargassum but this was cleaned up every morning by the grounds keeper. I recommend bringing your own snorkel set and sandtoys if you have little ones.
The house was open bright and authentically Mexican. Maria kept the house spotless and was always happy and smiling. The beds and rooms are very comfortable and each bedroom has an AC unit.
We had Chef Baara cook for us during our stay and the food was exceptional! His meals were by far the best we had in Tulum. Everything he used was so fresh and flavorful. He cooked something special every day for our daughter as well. We highly recommend his service. We were hesitant with the price but after comparing to to cost of eating out and groceries it was actually very reasonable. Our stay would have not been the same without him!
Solomian bay is a great location in Tulum. It's away from the noisy area but I would recommend a car to get around. There is a nice restaurant in the bay but pricey. Overall best holiday ever and we will be back!!!
The property is right on the water with loads of outdoor chairs and hammocks scattered around. It is a charming villa with beautiful tile work. The only two issues are 1: that it is difficult to swim from the beach directly in front of the villa as there is so much rock and coral to navigate. 2: The other is that the furniture could use some updating. The seating indoors is uncomfortable, particularly for older people. We spent 8 lovely nights. The maid and her niece were terrific and we appreciated all that they did that There was always enough fresh water to drink. We hired a private chef which I would highly recommend with small children. The kitchen is well supplied. The weather was perfect. The host was excellent in communicating with us
We had never visited the Tulum area and I did a random search for a place to stay. I found many but Casa Tres Delfines checked most of our boxes.
The home is just as you see it in the listing.
The home fit our needs perfectly.
It is located in a nice quite community just minutes away for the busy town of Tulum which was perfect for us. The beach and pool were perfect!
There is a very nice restaurant located at the entrance in the same community. We had dinner there a couple of nights. Gives you an option of not going into town for meals. It is right on the beach which fit our liking perfectly.
Now for the wonderful staff on property.
Maria is so wonderful and is there for you no matter your needs. Within reason.
Maria kept the home picked up and very clean daily. She also helped us several times when we couldnât figure out how to use a couple of the appliances.
She is so very friendly and helpful. She made our stay so special and enjoyable.
Daniel kept the grounds in immaculate shape the whole time we were there. He is also a pretty good handyman!
Both Maria and Daniel added so much value to our stay at Casa Tres Delfines which made our trip even better that just having a beautiful home to stay in.
Thank you Maria and Daniel!!!
The owner Arul was very responsive and informative before and during our stay. Thank you Arul!!!
Your home and staff are absolutely wonderful and we enjoyed our stay even more than what we had hoped for.
Until we meet again!
Our family of 7 really enjoyed our stay in Mexico at Tres Delfines. The location is ideal for privacy and feels secure. The view is stunning and there is an abundance of wildlife to enjoy.
The amenities at the property were sufficient and there are services to really enhance your stay. I highly recommend Chef Bonito. Maria and her brother are both great and really do their best to keep the house in order.
Of course, it's another record breaking year for Sargassum in the Caribbean, but we were lucky to have relatively clean oceans and beaches on our arrival. If you do stay here, I recommend taking Arul's word and kayaking out to the buoy to snorkel. The coral is very much alive here and it's worth the experience.
Arul is above average when it comes to communicating with guests, which definitely improves the experience. We would certainly bring our family here again, it was a great trip.
Me and my family of 6 stayed for 10 days. Last minute trip planned but everything worked out amazing. Arul was very easy and patient to work with. The house was beautiful, cozy and charming. The private beach and community was everything that we hoped for and more. William and the other workers did an amazing job cleaning up the sea grass every day. Maria so very kind and cleaned the house everyday. Unbelievable! Benito cooked us breakfast and dinner and was better then the restaurants we visited while in tulum. I loved the seclusion of the house and waking up to the sunrises every morning. Such a beautiful stay for a recharge from life. I will definitely come back in stay. Mucho Gracias!
Our spring break at the villa was just perfect! It started with the excellent and prompt communication we had with Arul both during the booking and leading up to us checking in. The detailed information that we got was very helpful in planning our travel and stay. Once we got to the villa we absolutely love the indoor outdoor set up. The pool, the palapas, the traditional architecture and the trees for shade outside set the right vibe. Maria and Daniel were a big part of the enjoyable stay that we had, keeping the house and the property spotless, and always being available to help with anything needed. We had Benito cook us dinner almost every night, and we enjoyed the food very much.
Before travelling we had been very concerned about the seaweed and had hoped that our travel was early enough to avoid it. However this year it turned out that it got there much earlier in the year. The Seaweed while not ideal did not stop us from snorkeling or enjoying the beach. Daniel did a pretty good job of clearing the seaweed every day and keeping a path open for the kayaks to enter the water, once you clear the shoreline you are usually good. Our kids spent a lot of time on the beach and had a great time.
We could not imagine staying anywhere else on our next visit, and highly recommend Tres Delfines.
Everything about Tres Delfines lived up to expectations. Absolutely beautiful location topped off by attentive and caring staff. Bonito's food was very tasty, presented beautifully and timed perfect. His time is very reasonably priced but be aware that groceries can be expensive.
Mari is a great housekeeper and was very respectful of our privacy. She kept the house spotless.
A perfect getaway and highly recommended to all.
Set right on the beach this authentic villa is the perfect base for your vacation. The layout works well for families with different spaces to relax. The pool area is like a sheltered oasis and waking up to the sea view is an experience you can never tire of. Within easy access of Tulum (with a car) we were able to venture out easily as well as enjoy the peace and quiet at the villa. The caretakers are near by , discrete but keep the villa clean and look after you as needed. Benito , the chef services are to be recommended.
We loved our 9-day stay at Tres Delfines. The beach and outdoor areas were beautiful and we spent most of our time outside. Mari and Chef Benito were a pleasure-- Mari kept the house supremely clean and Chef Benito cooked us delicious dinners for most of the nights we spent here. We would come again!
A short trip for my son (recently turned 18) and some friends of his to celebrate being seniors and just a getaway before the next step in life!
The house was perfect. The house was spacious, with 4 bedrooms, allowing the girls to stay upstairs and have their own bathroom, and the boys downstairs sharing 2 additional bathrooms. Spacious kitchen, kayaks, etc. The pool was small, but with the house being on the bay, who really needs a pool?
We had chef Benito come a total of 3 nights for dinner. Wonderful food, fresh, quality ingredients. Highly recommend. No one got sick, or anything. Everyone loved it. We had early flights and late departures and Arul was very accommodating giving us an early check in and late check out. Very much appreciated.
We look forward to our next visit!
We had a wonderful time and this rental is a little slice of heaven. It was such a treat to have such a caring and kind staff that was there to spoil us and help us with anything we needed. Arul, the owner was the most exceptional communicator of any vrbo I have ever stayed and it made everything go so smoothly.
Great house. Perfect location on the beach. Sunrises, and beauty all day!
Considering the price, the beach was not great - rocky most places, seaweed, plastic. Maybe it is the time of yearâŠ
Wonderful week overall though!
This was our second time staying at Tres Delfines. The owner, Arul, was great to communicate with and the house itself was heavenly. We were a little disappointed that there was still some sargassum seaweed accumulated on the beach. We thought we had timed it for past the seaweed season. Also, it was unfortunate to see a fair amount of trash mixed in with the seaweed. Not sure anything can be done about these. But we all still managed to have a great time kayaking and enjoying beach life. We would go often for great food at the Jashita Hotel, within walking distance either down the back alley or along the beach.
Everything about our stay was awesome! The house is not new (for us it was a plus, a lot more charming than some of the out-of-place modern neighbors), but impeccably maintained and the location just couldn't be better. Maria, the housekeeper is incredibly helpful, accommodating and diligent. During our stay the hot water went out, the coffeemaker stopped working and the fridge broke down - the response by our hosts to each of these was amazing! All of these were addressed immediately, including the same-day procurement of a new fridge, diligently installed on a Sunday night to make sure we have it up and running the next day. I could rave on and on, but the point is that our family would go book again (and again) in a heartbeat!
