« For £60 a night I had a clean and comfy bed, a hot shower, and a tea and coffee station. The staff were friendly and helpful. Yes, it is a little noisy and crooked, but it's an old pub with normal pub hours so that's to be expected. I'm a female in my early 30s travelling on my own and I felt very safe and welcomed. Obviously this is not the hotels fault so still rating a 5, but just make sure you have a decent car to get there as the route is very steep and goes through a mountain range. The...

« This guest house is a gem! Our family enjoyed staying here on our way home from the Scottish Highlands. It was immaculate and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was brilliant! We hope to return. »

« From the first welcome to the final farewell, it was a joy to stay there. Substantive breakfasts, pet friendly, old manor house setting with great views. Good choice of relatively local (less than 10 miles) public houses for evening fare. Already hoping to get back there when next visiting the Lakes, which start only six miles north. »

L'insonorisation est POURRIE (style feuille de carton) et les deux nuits nous sommes en plus tombé sur des fêtards qui profitent du fait qu'il n'y a pas d'employé la nuit pour se promener partout dans le lobby et corridor en faisant claquer les portes. Le matelas serait dû pour être changé, on ressentait tous les ressorts.. « Our room at Elder Grove was not only spotless, it was a lovely room tastefully decorated with all the amenities you could ask for and more. A large spacious bath with excellent shower, plenty of large fluffy towels and very importantly a large daylight mirror for ease of makeup application and a hairdryer with diffuser for curly girls and boys.
