„First and foremost the property was clean, functional and offered value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, although our experience of room service was let down by dirty cups being left. We found the hotel lacked character, everything about it was functional and not interesting. This extended to the breakfast, our experience of which was behind not eating supper there. This is not a criticism of the hotel, it is my view. Based on reviews I expected a little more than we got. ...

Felt appropriately castle like. Clean. High quality establishment. Uber from the local train station (one stop from Durham) cost 5 pounds. Back to Durham in the morning from there was about 16 or so. We ate evening meal at the bar (had fish&chips, small portion fairly good quality) and a few drinks that were ...

„The perfect Apartment/Hotel for a stay in Newcastle. It’s central, spacious , nice staff , quiet rooms“

We had already paid through Expedia, but at reception we were initially told that the payment had not gone through and that we would need to pay the full amount again. The receptionist was not very friendly at first and said that this was not their problem, which felt quite stressful after a long journey. In the end, he made a phone call and we were given our room, so the issue ...
