« The room was spacious, spotless and had everything we needed, bathroom was also spotless and again had everything needed The staff are friendly and made us feel welcomed from arrival. The only thing that could be made better would be an addition of a full drench shower because there was certainly room for one »

« In spite of some very lovely staff, this hotel is in an appalling state and desperately need of a facelift. Water damage on the walls, peeling paint, leaking toilets, a broken shower and windows that haven’t been cleaned in years. The owners need to spend a lot of money on this establishment that must have been spectacular in the past, as neither it or the staff deserve it being left in this state. »

« The Nutshell is a lovely little place, perfect for a stay in Whitby. Great location close to the harbour and town centre. Very clean and everything you need, hob, oven and all crockery and utensils. Nice feel to the place, makes you feel like you’re at the seaside. Great communication with the owners. « Wow, what an amazing place to stay in Whitby. Foxton Penthouse was central for us to have coastal walks and to walk into town. The apartment was very modern and had everything we needed to make our stay go well. Once in town you can cross the bridge and walk up the 199 steps to the Abbey. Or get the hop on hop off bus. The costumes of people dressed up in Gothic clothes added to our stay. »
