York’s best-known sights—including York Minster, the city walls, the Shambles and the many attractions, restaurants and bars of the city centre—can be reached easily on foot.

Walking is one of the easiest ways to explore York from the property. The city centre is approximately a 15-minute walk away. Simply walk down Bootham towards York Minster to reach the heart of the historic city.
