„I expected that the cabin would be ruined from the flood. I called a day or so before I was due to arrive when I got an automatic message about arrival. Of course I was not comfortable coming as I had a reservation for the end of camp and camps had closed and girls sent home. I said I hoped they could use my dates for volunteers or people who had lost their homes. I hope camp will open next year and I would reserve again. „Great place to getaway and relax. It was quiet, of the main road and the property and cabin were well maintained. Water level in the lake was good, and it was fun to watch the night come to life under the stars. We saw plenty of deer and even an armadillo came strolling by the porch on its way down to the lake to get some water. Good spot and would go back. “

„Friendly greeting upon arrival. Peaceful one night stay. Full size couch w/2 recliners on each end. Clean cabin. The walk to the river is pleasant, paved, and not too far. Lots of shady areas, near the river. Very private & enough space for other guests that are staying at the same property.Covered porch. The deer gather front & center for mealtime. Close enough to the main road coming in, but without the noise of the traffic. “

„My family of 4 enjoyed our stay here. It was not toddler-friendly, but we managed to leave without breaking anything. We loved kayaking on the little lake and enjoyed the short hike. The pool was only slightly heated (during Spring Break) but we got used to the chilly water. The propane grill and hot tub were both awesome. We couldnt get the fire pit to work so we used a lighter to roast marshmallows. Overall I would recommend staying here with kids over 3.“

„What an amazing experience. Even though I planned this trip last minute, our hosts Zachary and Anna were so gracious to us and accommodated our needs with my 2&4 year old littles. The homemade breakfast in the morning was delightful and we felt so comfortable and at home on their beautiful grounds. We will definitely be going back for another stay soon!“

„We enjoyed our night in this cute Sotol Hill Lighthouse! The owners were readily available for check in, and the property is so comfy. Porch-sitting was a GREAT activity, birds and the hills and the sun all cooperated for a great experience. We will enjoy returning!“

„Cute cabin overlooking the hill country! We stayed two nights and were very comfortable. The area is quiet, the bed is comfortable, and the shower works well but the owners will tell you that hot water is limited. We had enough time to shower but you don't want to linger. The incinerator toilet is interesting but works just fine. “

„We are local to the area & found this Glamping gem last minute for a close weekend trip. Who knew this beautiful little spot was less than 30 mins from home. We took our two dogs- who I think enjoyed their time & the views just as much as we did.! The weather was perfect, so the temperature of our tent was as well.
