Sherwood Island State Park: Ferien in den Bergen

The breakfast was really good. The hotel had a modern flair which was nice. The staff was indifferent. If you have an EV and want to charge it’s very difficult. I asked for help from the front desk and the woman said yes they get lots of complaints it’s hit or miss and they are looking into it. The pool is tiny. The loungers and sofas are all very worn out. There was a huge argument between people when we were there because a woman was holding two couches. Police were called. The woman who used derogatory and racial slurs and was holding the couches was not asked to leave and ultimately the wronged person left. The hotel did not handle this well. If you are thinking of going to the gym, rethink that. There is 1 treadmill and no AC. In fact on Saturday there was no AC in the common spaces it was hot. We asked for fresh towels 3 times and when we finally found them in our room, 1 was left. There were 3 of us. I traveled with my teen and adult child. They were tolerating it. Don’t come here with young kids. I read before coming that walls were paper thin. They are it’s bad but our room AC drowned it out. They also didn’t say anything to people who brought their dogs into the tiny pool area. The hotel is dog friendly but the pool only allows service dogs and all dogs were allowed. Totally unsanitary. This is in line with staff behavior, no rules do whatever and that’s why the common spaces look how they look. I would not return.
