« Room was in good condition however it was a disabled room that was not advised on booking. There was an intermittent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. Seeing the disabled room I immediately requested a room change but here was not much enthusiasm as we had a 2 night stay and was told the hotel was full the following night so not much they could do and on the first night there were currently no other made up rooms. « We were given a room at the rear of the hotel which was in a converted annex. This was nicely decorated with basic amenities although we did have a shower and a bath. The accommodation was on 2 floors, with the bathroom on the ground floor and the bedroom on the first floor. This was not very convenient for us when using the bathroom during the night, especially as the stairs were steep and creaked, waking us both each time. There was one chair upstairs and one downstairs so we couldn't both...

« Friendly welcome despite a minor flood that has just occurred. Nice room but a bit small and cramped en suite. Continental breakfast was fine. »

« I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. »

« The room was great with nice bunk beds and Screens. However, we could not sit in the lower level bunk beds because of the upper bed and there was no place to sit. Otherwise, it is a great place to stay. »

« What amazing stay here for New Year’s Eve . It was the cutest place, the enormous gorgeous Christmas had me sold it was amazing and made it extra special all the little extras all the decorations. « It is impossible to overstate the standard of the Wensleydale Heifer. The awards affirm the restaurant quality and the standard of accommodation. What they do not evidence is the attention to detail that every member of staff personifies. This is the first opportunity we have had to stay at the Heifer, although we have eaten here before. The hotel was everything we hoped for and will become our "go to" place in the Dales. Thank you for a memorable stay! »
