« Great location and quiet room . The couple who own the property are both lovely and helpful. The room has all the amenities you could wish for , they have considered what a guest might want or need . You can park off street . The room was a little on the small side but adequate for one or two nights . The continental breakfast is adequate and the fresh coffee as very good . The property was full so the breakfast room was too and we felt a little bit close to other tables . »

« A very special place to stay as this was the family home of Florence Nightingale. We stayed in two bedrooms which were the rooms that she grew up in before she went to Crimea. This is not a hotel. It’s more of a guest house with a few of the rooms rented out on a nightly basis. The property is accessed through several gates so it’s on very private land. The views are amazing of the local countryside and there’s a very beautiful garden around the house and sheep in the fields a little further...

« Après 1 journée de marche depuis Matlock (environ 35km), nous avions apprécié notre chambre dans ce b&b. Chambre très confortable, très propre et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Pas beaucoup de choses à voir dans la ville mais Tideswell est un bon point de départ pour faire beaucoup de randonnées. »

« We had a very enjoyable two-night stay at Sheriff Lodge. The owner accommodated our early check in, which was very kind of her. Throughout our stay we had good conversations with the owner, who was a lively lady. Room was nicely decorated. The bed very comfortable and the room/bathroom exceptionally clean. Breakfasts were freshly cooked to perfection, with a wide choice. Location was ideal for the town, albeit the walk back up the hill took us longer than the walk down :) Most definitely...

« Stayed here for 2 night's in June and loved it, the place is warm and welcoming, the bed was massive and comfy with plenty of toiletries in the bathroom. Shower was easy to use and very clean, definitely stay here again. Breakfast was freshly cooked and cooked how you like it, the host was friendly and veey helpful. »
