« Our family stayed at Black Ridge cabin for a week during spring break. The house is absolutely beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed and more! We got to play board games on the big dining room table and roast hotdog over the fire pit. We were close enough to visit all of the local parks and yet far enough out that we really felt like we were in nature. All of us enjoyed the buggy ride and our hosts were so kind and communicated very quickly. »

« Excellent place to stay to explore the eastern portion of the Shawnee National Forest. We used it as a launching point to see the Garden of the Gods, Cave in Rock, and Dixon Springs State Park. Wish we had another day to do more exploring. The cabin is secluded, so stock up on groceries and charcoal for the grill before you arrive. Kitchen was well stocked with pans and utensils that made cooking meals easy. It was comfortable, clean and peaceful. I will definitely stay there again the...

« We had such an awesome stay at the Shawnee Apple Shack. It was so cute, clean, and had everything that we needed! There was plenty to do in the Southern Illinois area for the weekend. We definitely recommend staying there and would love to come back sometime! »
