I believe the owners were as pet friendly as they could be, but the downside is that the fenced yard cannot be accessed from inside the house, nor can it be seen inside the house.also the house was very dusty with dust bunnies under the furniture. I bought a small vacuum to clean the furniture. The vacuum available to use was very heavy and not good on solid floors. My dog doesn’t shed. We stayed at the property for three months, end of December to end of March. We really enjoyed being in that neighborhood in Kure Beach, it was our first visit there. Being close to the beach, Fort Fisher and the State Park gave us lovely places to walk ourselves and the dog. Carolina Beach was near enough for meals out from time to time. This property was advertised to sleep nine, however there is no way that nine people would be comfortable in the house all day every day in cold or inclement weather! We had a weekend of snow while I was there.I don’t know about the air conditioning, it never was warm enough to need it, but the heating worked, but blew cold air in between heating causing a constant draft. When it got too cold for the heat pump to work the auxiliary heating came on and the draft stopped!

Fun with family

We loved staying at this beach house. We had plenty of room for family being together but not too crowded. We had tons of laughter together so we had a wonderful trip. The walk to beach was easy and right at a beach access. We liked this beach access. Usually when we go to the beach by an access, we have to maneuver our wagon over steps. This beach access had no steps just a ramp! It made getting to beach very easy. Our family would stay at this house again in the future.

Overall all a good stay. The ONLY issues we faced were Electrical outages- lights and fans in main up living went out for 3 days of our stay, and there were Tons of Wasps on the property in the back yard area, near bedroom door. It would be nice if the brush was cut down so sitting on the porch UNDER the deck could have been used. Great location, and easy walk to the beach!

This house has great location, and overall, very functional! Exactly like pictures. Old school beach house, strong a/c, very cute. Great deck and outdoor shower, too. Good for kids, and Bryant was great customer service. I gave 4 stars because of cleanliness/cleaning team’s oversight, some repairs needed by owner, and safety issues. It was clean in all of the places it counts, but there were layers of dust in places, floor in kitchen needed a once over, the deck was covered in cherry pits and railings in mildew that came off on hands, and the cleaning team forgot to leave towels (we were without for the first night, but Bryant’s team fixed directly in am). There was also an electrical issue first night and am-we plugged in party lights on deck, and the fuse blew out there, as well as three outlets in the house. We were not able to use party lights for week because the outlet looked corroded. Bryant real estate fixed all outlets in house next day! Ben, their repair guy, was great! The oven was not working, so was without first morning, but Bryant also quickly fixed and remedied. The Bryant real estate group was GREAT at attending to issues. Very nice and prompt! As far as upkeep and safety, there were some broken blinds, the grill was a safety issue as could easily be blown over by wind, no grill tools, on sliding door near floor the caps to the screws of the hurricane windows were missing-we moved caps from other areas. I would stay here again in hopes this upkeep is done!

Our large family group had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage is clean & fresh, very well appointed and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet. It is less than a block away to beach access and close to many attractions. If we were to return to the Kure area, we would surely like to stay there again!

Great vacation

We had the best time at this house. I was excited that I found a place close enough to the beach that I could take my dog. The house was very dog friendly - extra poo bags by the door, extra dog dishes, etc. The house had everything we needed and we all fit quite comfortably (6 adults and 2 dogs). I absolutely loved the deck, we spent most of our time there. I also loved the cookware. Most of the time, rentals have crappy cookware but this place had nice ceramic cookware. Only suggestions I would have for this house is a new grill out back (the charcoal grill provided was wobbly and the legs were rusted, I was afraid it would collapse if used) and perhaps a new mattress in the back bedroom (apparently one side of the mattress was very hard and left my guest sore in the mornings). Tip for upcoming guests - Pleasure Island rentals will deliver and set up beach gear (chairs and umbrellas) to Kure Beach for a 20 delivery fee. Would definitely stay at this house again and recommend to others.

Great beach getaway!

Great location, easy to get to shops, restaurants, beach is a 1 minute walk away and the fishing pier is a couple blocks back towards carolina beach. Plenty of room and the fenced in backyard was right on point with our pet needs. Highly recommend and very affordable.

Kure Beach Stay

Unfortunately, before our stay a storm hit the area and caused flooding damage to this location. However, Bryant Real Estate who manages the property was able to get us into another rental before our trip. The new rental was perfect for my family and was even closer to the beach than our original location. So I'd say we upgraded. We arrived 30 minutes early for check in and the rental company was able to accommodate us quickly. The communication with the company was fantastic from the beginning and I loved working with them. Would definitely rent from them again in the future.

Booker Family vacay 2024

We stayed here in July for our family vacation and had the best time ! We had 9 adult-teens and our fur baby , there was plenty of space . The house was wonderful and so clean . We loved sitting out on the front porch upstairs . The walk to the beach is right across the street . Location is great ! Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place ♥️

Great little house in a convenient location!

Booked this house for a family Mother's Day weekend getaway and it was perfect. The property was exactly as described and extremely convenient to the beach, as well as restaurants and shops in Kure Beach. Our dogs loved the fenced-in yard (we had to work overtime to keep our pug from eating all of the unripe blueberries), and all the extra little things at the house (like dog bowls, beds, bags) made it feel like pets are truly welcome! One minor thing for the awareness of future renters: The fenced-in yard is not directly accessible from within the house. This makes sense being the beach and wanting to avoid getting sand everywhere in the house, but I wanted to mention it since I do not recall it being mentioned in the listing itself (it could have been and I either missed it or forgot). Regardless, there is a gate right beside the door so we did not find this to be an issue beyond initial confusion as to access and a couple of really early bathroom requests. Overall we would absolutely recommend this house to anyone looking and will keep it saved for future weekend getaways to the area!

Perfect stay close to the beach and pet-friendly

This place was perfect for my family and pets. It truly is a one-minute walk to the beach, just across the street and only a couple miles from Fort Fisher and the Aquarium. Nice fenced-in yard your fur-babies. We enjoyed our stay!

Two Month Stay

We rented the property for two months so we got to know the place “inside and out”. Nice, quiet neighborhood (of course in March and April is not quite beach season). Place was clean and quaint….an older property but well appointed. I would stay there again. The only issue was the upstairs heat and A/C needed work, but this was addressed promptly.

We were 4 adults. Property has its own driveway that can fit up to four or five cars depending on their size. Property has 4 bedrooms. Three down stairs and a master upstairs by the kitchen with its own bath, queen bed and a small bump out with a full bed. Property is clean and very well maintained. Nice quiet neighborhood, very close to a guarded beach. Dual zone control A/C works great. Towels and linens were supplied. House is stocked with most cooking pans, dishes, utensils, filter coffee maker, Microwave, toaster, blender and glass top stove/oven. Refrigerator/ freezer but there is no Ice maker. It does have plenty of ice trays. Two TV's with Roku and many channels of tv listings. TV's are in the common areas upstairs and downstairs. Outdoor shower and hose for foot spraying is convenient. Washer and Dryer are large capacity and they are not coin operated as stated in the listing. One comment is that we missed having a full length mirror in the house. We decided not bring our dog as we originally planned but the house is perfect for your family pet. Loved the keyless entry. Great Property we will definitely stay here again.
