„The week we spent at Voortrekkers Lodge, Levenwick, was an absolutely marvellous experience. The spectacular view from the lodge, the hospitality and friendliness of the hosts and the cosy, clean accomodation all contributed to a wonderful holiday away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We adored the goats and the almost-goat-sheep at our front door! Thank you, Niki and Piet, we are surely planning to come back some day. Maybe I will even try the smoked, freshly caught fish then...“

„We were absolutely delighted with the cleanliness and modern decor of the apartment, and it’s location in central Lerwick was perfect. We could park for free on the street outside the apartment and the shops and restaurants were a five-minute walk. The apartment had all the facilities we needed, including a washer-dryer so we could wash clothes during the week. „Beautiful, clean fully equipped accommodation. Hosts have thought of everything, and we were able to arrive early/ stay later due to the ferry times - which was so kind of them. We visited many sights, and wandered on the cliffs and saw puffins and sea otters, as well as other wildlife. Really would recommend staying here if you love beautiful views, peace and quiet. „We spent two nights here and loved it. The friendliness of the staff combined with the professionalism of the chef made it a start to remember. Dog owners: although dogs are not welcome in the general areas, the hotel grounds are great and lead straight to the shingle beach. Plenty for the muppet to sniff and lots of rabbits to chase.“
