We hiked the Catawba Trail, spent some time in nearby Black Mountain, and made s'mores by the firepit. It was a great weekend getaway for a family. »

« This was a clean and cozy little cabin! It was very small. Had we not had all the extras required for attending a wedding it would have been perfect. We found it a little crowded but once the wedding was over and the fancy clothes and steamer etc were packed away it was sufficient. The two rockers on the deck were super comfortable but the inside seating, not so much. It was nice and quiet. The cabin is super close to the caretakers residence but we never saw or heard them. « Everything was perfect, aside from having the neighbor way too close for my liking. That was an error on my end, I must have missed the fine print stating they'd be so close. The Cabin was so spacious and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend to those who are okay with having others close by. The only reason I complain about this is because I don't like to let my dogs roam if I know there are others nearby. But other than that it was great. The hike we found was 9 minutes away which...
