Hello friends—welcome to 5 O’Clock Somewhere Beach House, a relaxed, nearly beachfront home just 50 steps from the sand in Silver Strand, Oxnard. Start your morning with coffee, head over to the beach, and come back whenever you’re ready for breakfast or a break from the sun.



With four bedrooms, two living rooms, multiple outdoor spaces, and a rooftop deck for evening get-togethers, the house makes it easy to enjoy time together without everyone needing to do the same thing. Make dinner on the BBQ, settle in for a movie, or spend some time around the rooftop fire pit. Hosted with care by Chic Beach Vacations.



**The Space**



We know that traveling together doesn’t mean everyone wants to be in the same room all day. Two separate living rooms—one downstairs and one upstairs—give your group room to spread out, while the open layout makes it easy to come back together for meals and conversation.



The fully stocked kitchen and coffee station make everything from a quick breakfast to dinner at home convenient. Comfortable seating gives everyone a place to unwind after the beach, and central A/C keeps the house comfortable on warmer days.



**Where You’ll Sleep**



There are four bedrooms:

• Three bedrooms with king beds.

• One bedroom with two twin beds.



There are also two queen sleeper sofas, one in the ground-floor living room and one in the second-floor living room.



Linens and pillows are provided for all beds and sleeper sofas so everyone can settle in comfortably.



**Bathrooms**



• Two full bathrooms, one on each level.

• One powder room upstairs.

• Fresh towels and essential bath amenities provided.



Having bathrooms on both floors makes getting ready for the day—and cleaning up after the beach—a little easier for everyone.



Please note: there is no outdoor hot tub at this property.



**How Close Is the Beach?**



The sand is approximately 50 steps from the house. You’ll cross Ocean Drive, a residential street, and follow a passage to the beach.



You’re close enough to come and go throughout the day. Head home for lunch, pick up something you forgot, or let part of the group relax at the house while everyone else enjoys more beach time.



**Outdoor Space**



The rooftop deck has a fire pit, string lights, and Adirondack seating—a nice place to catch up at the end of the day.



On the private patio, you’ll find a gas BBQ and covered dining. Pick up groceries, cook something everyone likes, and enjoy dinner together without needing a restaurant reservation.



Please keep our neighbors in mind when using the outdoor spaces, especially in the evening.

**Parking — Please Plan Ahead**



There are parking spaces for four cars total: one in the garage and three in the driveway.



Four cars is the maximum. No additional vehicles may be parked on the property, and street parking is not available for your stay. Please coordinate with your group before arrival so everyone knows where they’ll park.



**Families & Dogs**



For families traveling with little ones, a Pack ’n Play, high chair, and baby monitor are available upon request at no additional charge. Please let us know before arrival so we can prepare for your stay.



Dogs are welcome! A $25 per dog, per stay fee applies and can be paid through your Guest Portal. Dogs must be clean and on flea control. Cats are not permitted.



**Neighborhood Overview**



Silver Strand is a close-knit residential beach community in the Oxnard area. People live here year-round, and part of what makes it special is that it feels like a neighborhood.



Spend some time walking along the sand, watching the surfers, or heading back to the beach for sunset. For a casual meal in the neighborhood, The Strand Bar & Grill is an option. Nearby Channel Islands Harbor offers more places to eat, along with opportunities for kayaking, paddleboarding, and seasonal whale-watching tours.



You don’t need to fill every day with activities. A morning at the beach, lunch back at the house, and an afternoon exploring the harbor can be plenty. If you’d like to see more of Oxnard or Ventura, our Guest Portal includes local recommendations to help you plan.



Silver Strand is a surfing beach, so waves and ocean conditions vary. Please check conditions before entering the water, particularly when visiting with children.



**Respecting Our Neighbors**



We’re happy to share this community with you, and we ask that you help us take good care of it.



The neighborhood has a strict no-noise covenant after 10 p.m. Please bring conversations indoors and turn off outdoor music by that time, including on the rooftop deck and patio. Noise from inside the house must not disturb neighboring homes.



If your group enjoys staying up later, please do so quietly indoors.



**Getting Around**



The beach is an easy walk from the house. A car is useful for grocery shopping, harbor outings, and exploring more of Oxnard and Ventura.



Please remember that parking at the house is limited to four vehicles, with no street parking available for your stay.



**Booking Process — IMPORTANT!**



After booking, you will immediately receive a message asking you to confirm your reservation and digitally sign our occupancy agreement. Please don’t forget this step—signing the agreement triggers your check-in information. If you do not sign, you will not receive your check-in information.



Once signed, you will be sent a link to your GUEST PORTAL, where all your important information lives, including check-in details, Wi-Fi, and local recommendations.



**Guest Portal & Optional Extras**



• Your entry code will be released inside your Guest Portal 48 hours before check-in.

• Early check-in options appear five days before arrival. You may request early check-in through your Guest Portal.

• Early check-in and late checkout have an additional fee and are subject to availability.

• The $25 per dog, per stay fee can be paid through your Guest Portal.

• Requested services and experiences, such as a private chef, massage session, or boat tour, cost extra and are subject to provider availability. Pricing will be confirmed before you commit.



The home’s listed amenities are included in your stay. Optional services and experiences are charged separately.
