Our stay here had both highlights and challenges. On the positive side, the home was clean, very well-stocked, and the location was exactly as advertised—we were able to reach our city destinations in just minutes.However, there were several things we wish had been clearer in the listing. We were surprised to find this is a converted basement unit rather than the entire house. Because of this, we could hear a lot of activity from above; there was a period of loud, persistent pacing that we could hear even over the TV. To her credit, the host was incredibly sincere and proactive. She contacted the upstairs guest immediately and even offered us wine to make things right.We also struggled with the heating. The main heaters were slow to warm up, and when we tried using the provided space heaters, they frequently tripped the circuit breaker. We spent a fair amount of time hunting for functional outlets. While the host is lovely and very helpful, better electrical capacity and a more accurate description of the unit type would have made our two-night stay much more comfortable. While the location is great for getting around the city, the neighbors on one side made us a bit uneasy upon arrival.
