As you enter through the very private gravel driveway you’ll notice a babbling brook and a tunnel of rhododendrons abound, You’ll pass by our very own private pond with a couple of small cascading waterfalls on the rim of the pond, right out of a story book. At this point, roll down the windows you’ll hear the sounds of water from two different bodies of water the pond and the babbling Brook. Look around and be amazed of the beautiful scenery of hundreds of native rhododendrons and the enchanted forest tucked up high the Blue Ridge Mountains. You’ll have this wonderland all to yourself.

We are dog friendly

This home sits on over seven acres and can be enjoyed anytime of year. You’ll discover your own private marked hiking trails on the premises that are established and in place, you won’t see anyone else, just follow the yellow ribbons. This Home can accommodate a large family. The house sleeps 7 in cozy beds plus, you can squeeze an additional small child on our very comfortable floor mat stowed away in the downstairs closet.

Well behaved dogs welcome! We have a large fenced in area just for your pooch. We require you sign a pet agreement and waiver after you book. You must disclose and get permission that you’re bringing your dog/dogs. You can bring up to two dogs, or ask permission under certain circumstances if you have a third dog. Don’t bring your dog without permission first, otherwise, you will be asked to leave without a refund. Sorry no CATS or other types of pets allowed on the premises.

THE OUTDOOR SPACE: The gigantic outside deck runs the whole length of the house. The deck has a barbecue grill, outdoor furniture with plenty of seating, tables and rocking chairs. You will hear the babbling brook as you relax and soak in the beauty. Seasonal Hummingbirds are fed off the decks so you can’t miss their frequent visits. Sitting out on the deck day or night is always a magical experience.

Around the pond are cozy Adirondack chairs some log tables for your favorite beverage and a secured fire pit area - we’ll supply the firewood. Enjoy hours of storytelling and bonding with friends and family. Crossover, the custom handcrafted bridge and it will lead you through a tunnel of rhododendrons that lead to a babbling brook, Just follow the sound.

Cone Memorial Park which is on the Blue Ridge Parkway. 40 minutes to Appalachian Ski Mountain, There’s a weekend Flea Market and Farmers Market at the Watauga County Farmers Market 7 miles away operating Saturdays May - October, Golf and fishing nearby.

If you book in the summer months don’t forget to visit Watauga Point Recreation Area at Watauga lake, you wouldn’t want to miss it, plan on spending the whole day there. Watauga Point Recreation Area has has picnic tables, bathrooms, BBQ grills and boat access, bring your bathing suit, kayak, swim this place is spectacular!


THE LAYOUT

THE MAIN LEVEL of the house: is an open floor plan that has heat and Air conditioning plus ceiling fans throughout. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need just like home so you don’t have to bring anything. It includes all the major appliances you’d expect in a kitchen, plus a large toaster oven, automatic drip coffee maker, microwave oven, ice machine and much more - to much to list. Even the tap water is refreshing coming straight from the ancient mountains. We also offer a big load washer and dryer on the main level for your convenience and pantry to store your jars and canned goods.

THE LIVING ROOM: has a wood-burning enclosed fireplace, high definition TV and very comfortable real leather sofa and oversized chair and accessory tables and of course wi-Fi.

The DINING ROOM: welcomes you with an oversized dining room table including six chairs, perfect for serving large families. In addition there’s even more seating on real cowhide barstools at the kitchen counter. We also added additional snack tables in case you need more dining space. You access the large deck out the living room and also the bedrooms.

THE MAIN LEVEL BEDROOMS: Two master bedroom suites & bathrooms are on the main level with gigantic showers and big closets with plenty of storage space, plus hangers. The first Master bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed, the second Master suite has a queen size bed. Each bedroom has plenty of dressers and drawer space plus night tables. Each Master Bedroom has their own sliding glass doors that leads to the deck. If you open the window at night the babbling brook sound and pond will put you fast asleep.

Plenty of fresh linens, towels blankets are provided.

THE LOWER LEVEL: Includes another bedroom with a Queen and a Twin size bed, in addition you can additionally fit two small children on the very comfortable floor mats if needed for extra sleeping arrangements. A sparkling clean Full size bathroom with tub, decorated just for the mountains. The Living room/game room area has a HDTV, wi-Fi, real leather sofa, love seat and oversized chair. Plenty of seating all geared for large groups with complimenting stylish cocktail and end tables. Recreation area has dual pool table & ping pong table . Loads of games and puzzles on the shelving to explore. You’ll have access to a oversized extra refrigerator with freezer-top, this comes in handy to store even more food and beverages for extended stays. A Full glass Sliding glass door and large windows give plenty of natural light in this space.

There is an abundance of labeled outdoor lighting and this home is very well lit in the evening.
