Pillar & Peak is a fully private 3-level townhome. The main floor features an open living, dining, and kitchen area with a half bath. The second floor has all three bedrooms, a king primary with an ensuite, a second king with Jack-and-Jill bathroom access shared with the third bedroom (double bed). The top level is your private rooftop deck with string lighting and seating for the group. In-unit washer/dryer, dedicated workspace, and one dedicated parking spot included.

Guests have exclusive access to the entire home, all three levels, including the rooftop deck, dedicated parking spot, and all common areas. Self-check-in via smart lock with a unique access code provided 24 hours before arrival. Parking is accessed via the rear of the property through a tight entry, best suited for confident city drivers. The front door on Florida Ave NE is recommended for luggage drop-off and the garage door remote.

We`re available 24/7 by message, call, or text and typically respond within minutes. We respect your privacy and won`t visit the property during your stay unless there`s an urgent issue. Our local team is always nearby if anything comes up.

The Neighborhood
Pillar & Peak sits at the crossroads of NoMa and the Union Market District, one of DC`s most energetic and fast-evolving neighborhoods, built on the bones of a former industrial quarter that`s now filled with modern townhomes, creative businesses, craft distilleries, and some of the best food in the city.
Union Market has existed in one form or another since 1871 and is steps from your front door, an upscale food hall with over 40 vendors offering everything from fresh seafood to gourmet tacos, surrounded by shops, bars, art galleries, and live music. Regular spots worth knowing: Yellow for breakfast, El Presidente for drinks, La Cosecha for happy hour, and the Angelika pop-up cinema for a film with beer and wine.

The neighborhood is also home to a thriving distillery scene, Cotton & Reed producing rum in a former ice warehouse, plus One Eight Distilling and Republic Restoratives, all within the district.

For getting around, the NoMa-Gallaudet Metro station is a quick walk away, giving you Red Line access, one stop from Union Station, and easy reach of Capitol Hill and the National Mall. The Metropolitan Branch Trail is also nearby, an eight-mile path stretching all the way to Silver Spring, perfect for runners and cyclists. Capital Bikeshare stations are throughout the district.

Historic brick warehouses sit next to ultra-modern spaces, and government staffers commute alongside artists and tech workers, it`s a neighborhood that works equally well for a weekend leisure trip or a government/contractor work stay, which is exactly who books in this corridor.

The National Mall, US Capitol, and Smithsonian museums are a short Metro ride or rideshare away. H Street Corridor, DC`s nightlife and dining strip, is minutes east. Union Station with Amtrak access is one Metro stop away.

**Getting Around**

Pillar & Peak is one of the best-located properties in DC for guests who want to move around the city without a car.

**Metro**
NoMa-Gallaudet U Metro Station is located at 200 Florida Ave NE, the same street as the property, roughly a 7-minute walk east. It serves the Red Line, situated between Union Station and Rhode Island Avenue-Brentwood stations. From here, you can reach Capitol Hill, downtown DC, and Georgetown with one or two stops. Union Station, with full Amtrak access and the second-busiest rail hub on the East Coast, is one Red Line stop away.

**Bus**
Several Metrobus lines stop steps from the property on Florida Ave NE, including the C53, C71, D30, and D36.

**Capital Bikeshare**
Three Capital Bikeshare stations are within the Union Market District, including one on Florida Ave NE and 4th Street NE, a short walk from the front door. Ideal for quick trips to H Street, the National Mall, or along the trail.

**Metropolitan Branch Trail**
The eight-mile Metropolitan Branch Trail runs through NoMa and connects all the way to Silver Spring, Maryland, great for runners, cyclists, and anyone wanting a scenic commute.

**Rideshare**
Uber and Lyft are extremely active on Florida Ave NE. Most drivers will drop off directly in front of the property with hazards on. This is the recommended approach for luggage arrival. Pickup is equally easy, given the main road access.

**Driving & Parking**
One dedicated parking spot is included with the property. Note the rear alley and spot are tight; see house rules for full details. Street parking is available on the surrounding side streets for additional vehicles.

**Airports**
Reagan National (DCA) - approximately 20 minutes by rideshare or Metro (Red to Yellow/Green line transfer). BWI - approximately 35–45 minutes by rideshare or MARC train from Union Station. Dulles (IAD) - approximately 45–55 minutes by rideshare.


Exterior security cameras are located at the front door/porch and rear parking area for the safety of guests and the property. Parking spot accommodates standard-sized vehicles; oversized vehicles, large SUVs, and trucks may not fit comfortably. Free street parking and rideshare drop-off are both easy alternatives. Pets welcome with a $100 pet fee per pet. This property is on a busy urban street; light city noise is to be expected, particularly during rush hours.

IMPORTANT: YOU MUST BE PREPARED TO WALK UP STAIRS (~20-25) IN THE FRONT / BACK TO GET INTO UNIT
Neighbors & Shared Access
A permanent resident lives in the unit below. Please be especially mindful of noise when entering and exiting through the front door and when using the rear spiral staircase, which passes directly alongside their kitchen and bedroom. Please move through these access points quietly and considerately at all hours, not just during quiet hours.

Rooftop Deck
The rooftop stairs are extremely steep. All guests use them at their own risk and should exercise extra caution going up and down, particularly at night. Rooftop access is available at any time. We simply ask that you remain mindful that this is a residential building and keep noise at a considerate level. No smoking, vaping, or marijuana use on the rooftop deck.

Smoking
No smoking, vaping, or marijuana use anywhere inside the property or on the rooftop deck. Smoke damage or odor remediation inside the property will result in a minimum $250 cleaning fee.

Guests & Visitors
Day visitors are welcome, please just keep the total number of people in the property reasonable and considerate of neighbors. Overnight guests are limited to a maximum of 6 registered guests.

Pets
Maximum 2 dogs. Pets must not be left unattended in the property. Please clean up after your pet inside and outside the home. Any pet damage will be charged accordingly.

Parking
One dedicated parking spot is included. The rear alley and parking spot are both tight, guests park entirely at their own risk. We strongly recommend Uber, rideshare, or street parking if you are not comfortable maneuvering in tight urban spaces. No liability is assumed for any vehicle damage.

Trash
Please place all trash in trash cans or bags inside the property. You are not expected to take bags to the exterior bins, our cleaning team handles that.

Photography & Filming
Photography and filming at the property is permitted with prior written approval from the host. Any approved shoot requires proof of valid liability insurance before access is granted. Commercial shoots, content creation, or filming of any kind without prior approval is not permitted.

Security Cameras
Exterior cameras are active at the front door/porch, rear door, and parking area at all times. There are no cameras inside the property.
