„Our five nights in swallows lodge was the perfect location for a hiking trip in the hills around Keswick , you can walk out of the front door and on to a footpath in more or less any direction, swallows lodge, has a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and two good bathrooms, and a lounge/ living room area to put your feet up in, only a bookcase with local interests was missing. „Super clean, well appointed lodge. Wish we could have stayed longer.“

„Fantastic location in a very picturesque setting with a lovely little river flowing across the bottom of the field. The Shepherds hut was spotless with home made cakes an eggs supplied by the owner. The only thing that spoiled it for us was the chemical toilet smell that seemed to linger around the hut and we had to burn a lavender candle (provided ) to take it away. Not sure if it is normal for it to smell strongly but looking at previous reviews , probably not. “
