The host were amazing. They answered all my questions quickly and were very friendly. The house is cute, stocked with everything you’ll need but the yard- Wow it’s amazing if you are looking for relaxation.

Perfect stay!

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The property was super clean (most important to me when renting!) We enjoyed the view, roasting marshmallows & playing Yardzee. We also took in some hiking and spent one afternoon swimming at the lake. What a perfect pit stop for my family on our way to the beach.

Homestead Getaway

This is an AMAZING property! The house was beautifully remolded and decorated. The coffee bar was a great addition. Everything we needed and then some was available at our fingertips. Extremely neat and clean. Excellent hosts!

Nice weekend getaway

Very nice location, well maintained house. The house has been updated and is quite lovely. The only thing that made us slightly uncomfortable was the old homestead and barn/shed structures behind the house. They are all well maintained, so once we took a look and saw that we were more comfortable (just don’t let the kids play in them). The entire region is full of old homesteads and buildings so it’s not entirely unexpected. It’s definitely worth the stay if going to Hanging Rock State park or just passing through.

Perfect Getaway

This house was perfect for us. The house was extremely clean and well stocked. The location was perfect for visiting Mt Airy, Pilot Mountain State Park and Hanging Rock State Park. I look forward to staying here again.

Tranquil Spot

Beautiful tranquil location beneath Hanging Rock State Park. Though chilly, we still enjoyed outside fires, deer trampling by. Peaceful, quiet, refreshed our souls.

Christmas Family Getaway

This property is beautiful and the host, Emily was outstanding! It was a very peaceful stay that allowed our busy family the chance to relax and connect. We spent hours at the fire pit talking, listening to music and enjoying each other’s company. This home has picturesque views and undeniable charm.

Adorable and inviting home

The house and surroundings are gorgeous! Fully stocked, welcome basket, very clean, inviting!! Unfortunately though, it was the worst place we have stayed at as far as the beds. Twin bed was noisy and uncomfortable, other twin was decent. Full bed in 2nd room was better but not great. Main bedroom queen bed was extremely uncomfortable!!! It had a noisy spring underneath so ANY time you moved it made sounds so my husband and I kept trying not to move. It fell in towards the middle so we kept having to lay toward the outsides trying not to smoosh into each other and it was lumpy. We had a wedding the next day which we were exhausted for because we literally had no sleep. Then the following night was the same with no sleep trying to drive home 7 hrs on empty. The house is fantastic. The owners need to invest into some decent beds that don't make noise and are a "little comfortable" at least. Sleeping is a main reason for having to rent somewhere so for your vacation or stay you are resting for the events you are there for. It was WONDERFUL except for that, but that's a biggie for us...

Wonderful Stay

We so enjoyed our stay at this home. The owners were kind and generous with information and a welcome basket. The view of Cook's Wall from the house was fabulous in the late fall. At Cory's recommendation, we hiked the Cook's Wall trail at Hanging Rock SP and it was so fun to be able to reverse the view back down to the house. (Awesome hike... just what we were looking for and highly recommend!) Thank you, Emily and Cory for hosting us. We had a great time and would gladly return.

Charming farmhouse in the foothills!

We were in awe from the moment we stepped into this beautiful home. Everything is as pictured, but the pictures didn’t do the scenery justice. A stunning property and great backyard with fire pit. The owners were responsive and gracious. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Lucky Locket

I was sceptical when I saw the picture. You don't see the gorgeous view this property actually has! Stunning to say the least. The huge backyard that offers total peace & privacy was a blessing! Very nice firepit & the incredible starry sky added to the experience. The house itself was immaculate. Super clean. Super comfy. No worries if you forgot to pack anything. It was well stocked. Totally recommend this place. Being able to have our fur babies with us was a must.
