We enjoyed everything about our stay at the Olive House. The house was well appointed and we enjoyed the decor and fun green and orange exterior. We felt welcome from the moment we got there. We appreciated the trail mix for us and tennis ball for our pup, Heath. The beds were comfortable and the wet room bathroom was incredible. We enjoyed the porch at the beginning and end of the day. Olive is convenient to all of our favorite Asheville spots. We loved it and hope to be back soon.

Olive House was extremely clean and welcoming. I especially loved the farmhouse decor. The master bathroom/wet room did not disappoint with the soaking tub and double shower. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We would not hesitate to stay at Olive House again.

Loved the decor (especially the main bathroom) and the convenience location. We have stayed in many properties in, near and around Asheville over the last 10+ years. This one was among the nicest yet. We would definitely make a return trip here.

We felt so lucky to have found this house. It is the cutest place ever. It was clean and had a great shower/bath and super comfy bed. The proximity to my family was amazing with my brother 2.1 miles away and my mom 2 miles in the other direction. The neighborhood is quiet, even with a girly busy dirt road beside the house and I even met some of the neighbors and enjoyed some nice conversation with them. The homeowner was so very nice, gracious, and attentive. We discovered that a previous guest had broken the blender and she was at our door in 10 minutes with a new one. We couldn't have been happier with our stay here and will definitely try to stay here again the next time we are in town if it is available.

This was a fabulous location for all things Asheville! Whether going downtown, touring Biltmore, or outdoor recreation such as hiking, paddle boarding, or tubing, this location provided easy access to a variety of activities while being nestled in a lovely and peaceful neighborhood. On the plus side, the owner is excellent in communicating, should you need anything, and the house is beautiful and clean. I highly recommend a stay at the Olive House. ;)

We had a wonderful stay at Kris’s property. The house was spotless, my dog was so excited to find a bed and ball just for him. My kids and dog loved the backyard. Kris was a wonderful and accommodating host who was on top of everything we needed and always available. The house was close to Asheville and lots of hiking. We loved the large wet room and the kitchen had everything we needed, especially cooking at the home most meals since we had our younger children with us. There wasn’t anything that was lacking ! Thank you Olive House!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It was well stocked and appointed, spotlessly clean and inviting. We had our dog along who thought it was divine that a tennis ball had been left for her. No appliances were complicated, all light switches easy to find, absolutely seamless. Thank-you for a very lovely stay. We’ll be back!

My adult daughter, her dog and I stayed at the Olive House over an extra long Memorial Day weekend. We loved our stay here. Super cute, comfortable beds, GREAT communication. Exactly as advertised. Only 6-7 miles to downtown Asheville. I will also say that while we’ve stayed in other places that have permitted her dog to stay, this is the first place than made him welcomed. So that’s a huge plus for us.

The Olive House is a lovely property. The home was so well appointed and Kristen was a fantastic host. Kristen provided a booklet of information regarding the home as well as suggestions to dine, hike and explore. My husband, Kevin, and I and our Labrador, Seamus, will definitely return in the future!

The host was great and communication was easy. The yard was set up to be pet-friendly so our pup also enjoyed her stay. Make sure you are watching for cats if your pup has a prey drive like mine. My wife and I had our two year old with us so having the second bedroom to set up the pack and play was essential. The only thing we weren't particularly happy with was how long the hot water lasted, 15 minutes tops. The wet room shower/ tub was one of the main selling features of the home for us. So with that, we were disappointed.

This house was the perfect place for our family trip to Asheville! Kris was the best host and super attentive and helpful with any and everything we needed. Myself, my husband, our one year old son and two dogs had a blast. The partial privacy fence was amazing at helping our pups not get distracted when going out to potty. The porch was so nice with beautiful string lights that weren’t overbearing. The house was extremely clean, the shower was so relaxing and the king size bed was super comfortable. We slept great, were only 15 minutes from the entrance to Biltmore and close to all our favorite Asheville activities and restaurants. The silver-line park in Woodfin was a perfect play area for our son and High Five coffee was a delicious morning treat. We will definitely be staying here again when we make our next trip to the area!

My friend and I and our four small dogs under 10 pounds, stayed for three nights and had a fantastic time. Plenty of yard for roaming, even though it wasn't fully fenced. The hosts were amazing and very responsive! Great location. Very cozy with all needed amenities!

What a delight to enjoy a Christmas reunion with our adult son in the Olive House! Plenty of room for son and parents to have our own space and bath facilities. And nice dining table for face-to-face time at meals. Loved the dĂ©cor. And the ways you anticipated your guests’ needs. I particularly enjoyed the hand-held shower sprayer! An amenity we don’t often find at VRBOs. And the shower brush (since we inadvertently left ours at home). Night-time temps were in the 20s, but water was quickly warm, and bedding was also warm, even without the extra blanket on the end of the bed. The heater worked great. My biggest problem was with using the bed to sit on. The mattress is high and even though I am 5’7” and my husband and son are over 6’, we all had trouble sitting on the bed without sliding off. It’s the combination of the high, rounded mattress and the unpadded rug on the slick (but beautiful) wood floor. There is no friction to stop you from keeping sliding. I had to “re-sit” on the bed constantly so I wouldn’t wind up on the floor. (Which was quite a trick while trying to put on pants and socks. There is no other place to sit to dress privately, unless you carry everything to the bath) I think a pad for the rug could help. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality so close to downtown. We will be back!

The Olive House was a wonderful place to stay for our trip to the Biltmore Estate. Kristen is a wonderful host. Very easy to get in touch with. The cottage was very welcoming and comfortable. We enjoy staying places where you can go back and relax after being out sightseeing. Definitely recommend.

The Olive House is in a great location with mountain terrain plus quick proximity to downtown Asheville and all of the wonderful restaurants. We especially loved the luxuriousness of the wet room with the best shower I have ever used! The tub was awfully inviting but I couldn’t pull myself away from the shower! Hosts were extra responsive.

The house had everything we needed for our stay. Great space if you want to bring your dog with you! It was calm and quiet but only 12-15 mins to downtown, south slope, and west Asheville. The fire pit was a great addition and we loved being able to have a fire most nights. Communication with the host was quick and easy too. I would highly recommend this property!
