„Had a brilliant few days stay at the cottage, the phrase that comes to mind is home away from home. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. Location for us was perfect with the monsal trail on its doorstep, loads of walking trails nearby and not far from Buxton. Really enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend, thank you“

„Classy Hotel in an 18th Century Georgian architectural landmark which was saved by the Hotel Company. Went there first on a rushed business trip and went back half a year later to enjoy it finally with my partner. The pool is warm and not exactly for a sporty swimmer, but is nice with the opportunity to swim outdoors. Beds and Breakfast are excellent and up to the price. After finding the south of England more and more crowded, the Peak District is an area I was happy to discover.“

„Had a lovely 2 night stay at Compton guesthouse. Clean and comfortable very large room with ensuite bathroom (including a bathtub) lovely victorian building. Didnt see any staff during our stay but this was not an issue as given check in instructions via text message. Short walk to centre with numerous bars and restraunts. Will definitely stay again.“

„We stayed for one night and had a wonderful time. The room was spacious and well equipped. Everything has been very tidy. The mattrass was kind of a dream. The breakfast has been absolute delicious. Would love to come back again. The location is perfect. Directly in the center and within all of the historic buildings.“

„There was little or no noise from the pub. The only noise near my room was other guests arriving and departing. Parking was no problem. Staff were very pleasant and, due to them, I was able to get my head down in good time as I had been up all the previous night. This was followed by a very sound night's sleep. Breakfast was perfectly adequate for me (cereal and toast). The evening meal I had booked was again perfectly satisfactory. For my one night's stay, the experience was fine. “

„I was very impressed with the Queen's Head. Nice clean room in a great location in Higher Buxton. Housekeeping promptly every day. First-rate full English breakfast included. My only complaint is that the room was rather small. There was no space to have an open suitcase, so I had to stuff it in a closet. That was a little inconvenient. Of course, I realize there is nothing they can do about that. It is an old building, and the room size is what it is.“

„An excellent property, very homely, cosy and welcoming. Would definitely return. Found laundry basket, spare mattress covers and oven gloves in main bedroom. Not a great problem at all, but think these items were inadvertently left at the changeover clean. But this is not an important criticism - the property was wonderful.“

„We have just returned home after a 2 week stay at Milford House which we highly recommend. The house is clean, spacious and comfortable and everything we could have possibly needed was provided, including a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. The house is in a convenient location, only a minute or two's walk from the centre of the village. A particular highlight was the bedroom in the roof and the sounds of the sheep and cows in the fields nearby! We enjoyed staying in Tideswell ...

„Het huisje is geweldig! Het is gezellig ingericht en de faciliteiten zoals de badkamer en keuken zijn helemaal heel goed. Alles is er, het is schoon, nieuw en heel praktisch. En daarbij is het uitzicht echt geweldig! Parkeren kan bij het huisje en de eigenaren zijn heel vriendelijk, helpen mee waar nodig en de communicatie verliep perfect. Ook vlakbij een pub, mooie wandelingen en highlights van de Peak District. Een echte aanrader, we hebben genoten!“
