The Whiskey Way Inn Vrbo is outstanding! It’s in a perfect location—only about 25 minutes from downtown Asheville—yet incredibly peaceful, luxurious, and surrounded by nature. The views from the property are absolutely stunning, and there are great hiking opportunities and outdoor activities nearby.The home offers a massive amount of space with excellent amenities, including a hot tub, movie room, and game room. Everything was well maintained and very clean. The hosts were exceptional and accommodating, graciously allowing us an early check-in and a late checkout, which made our stay even more relaxing. They also left thoughtful touches like complimentary water and s’mores ingredients.If I’m ever back in Asheville, I would absolutely recommend staying here!

We enjoyed our stay at Whiskey Way. It’s a beautiful, spacious property with thoughtful touches like the Christmas tree & stockings, stunning sunrise views, & deer crossing early in the morning. The home was comfortable, well stocked, including having a washer/dryer which was very convenient. The steep driveway is paved and was manageable with the SUV we rented.However, there were some notable issues in the basement. While the first floor appeared tidy, the basement had ladybug issues. In the basement ensuite bedroom, we found a large number of ladybugs. There were 19 in the bedroom initially (mostly dead, a few alive), plus 16 dead ladybugs in the hallway outside the room and many additional ones inside the bathroom & light/fan fixture. After sweeping/ cleaning them up, there were about 10 more ladybugs the next day, including some on the bed. The dead ladybugs were very obvious, including one hanging from a nightstand lamp. There were also dead ladybugs by the basement doors, suggesting those areas may not be cleaned often or that this is an ongoing issue. We found a few Ladybugs in other basement rooms, & one even made its way onto the kitchen table.The hot tub also had an issue that prevented us from being able to use it. The water was cloudy with beige scum/foam at the waterline. We contacted the rep & offered a credit, which we appreciated, but the hot tub was one of the main reasons we chose this property. It was disappointing not to be able to enjoy it.

This is one hanging from the lampshade we would think a cleaning person would have seen & addressed, there were many others on the night stands and throughout the floors. both dead and alive .

After sweeping one of the inside basement rooms, these are some of the ladybugs we swept and disposed of outside.

The house is perfect for a large family stay! It is spacious with a lot of gathering spaces. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. My favorite feature and a big reason I chose the house, is the long dining room table. It made Xmas dinner very special

Wonderful Mountain Views. Spacious family gathering area. The dining table was perfect and we spent a lot of time in the game room as well. Something for everyone. The beds were all very comfortable! Loved the grounds - you feel the mountains and also perfect for playing Bocce Ball; plenty of seating around the fire-pit. This place is fabulous! We made some great memories here!

Our family from Ohio, Colorado, Maryland, Georgia and North Carolina gathered for a family reunion. The large home (5000 square feet) was immaculate. There was plenty of room for all of us. The game room had lots to offer. With both a large living room and a separate family room with a wall of windows, there was space to spread out. There was also a comfy theater room but we did not use it. Too busy talking! We had a caterer prepare a special birthday dinner and they were very pleased with the kitchen and the outdoor grill area. In the evening we enjoyed sitting around the fire pit with a roaring fire. The views were absolutely spectacular. The property has several acres of land; very private. The long single lane driveway is quite steep and I imagine could be treacherous in bad weather. Fortunately for us, the September weather was absolutely perfect. We had a couple of special requests and the host was very accommodating. We are already looking at our calendars to book our return next year.

This was the perfect property for a friend reunion. It has all the amenities needed and offers separate spaces to allow smaller groups to breakoff for conversation and relaxation. We loved the fire pits, the tv room, the large dining room table, the great room and of course the game room! This was one of my best rentals!

Great property for a family of five great sceneries, peaceful and quiet. You can Uber to Asheville. Great game room super table for dinner for 11.Only cons were a noisy washer that leaked water on floor and a musty smelling bedroom when we arrived but got better.Would stay again.Long driveway is a challenge

Whiskey Way is a beautiful location. It was roomy and comfy for a week with our extended family. The house is kept in excellent condition and, while it could use some fresh paint in a few places, the attentive service staff cared for everything from the landscaping to the hot tub.

Nice, secluded property!

Annual reunion 25

The house was perfect! We had separate bedrooms and bathrooms for all of us and the area is very private and quiet. The game room was a hit and the views from the dining area were spectacular! The kitchen was well stocked with cooking and baking utensils. The drive to Biltmore was easy and to downtown Asheville. Grocery store and gas were not far away. We really enjoyed our stay!

New Year’s Family Visit

We had 10 adults. The house was the perfect size for our group. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, silverware, glasses. Everything worked. Hot tub was fabulous. The views from the house are spectacular. We enjoyed a visit to the Biltmore. Downtown Asheville was wonderful. A great trip for everyone.

Perfect House for Asheville visit

The house was better than expected. The kitchen was very well equipped an organized. We had more than enough beach towels and bath towels for our stay. We used the game room every night and loved the hot tub. I would highly recommend this house.

AMAZING FAMILY GET AWAY

Our stay at Whisky Way was simply amazing! Our group of twelve, ranging from an infant to an 85-year-old, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hot tub, game room (especially the Pac-Man machine), and fire pit provided endless entertainment. We loved gathering for card games at the enormous kitchen table and having movie nights on the spacious sectional. The house is both peaceful and secluded, yet conveniently located just minutes from a gym and grocery store. We would definitely return to this fantastic retreat!

4th of July getaway

A week at Whiskey Way was perfect for our group of 11 - 3 generations of family - three couples and 5 kids. With 5 bedrooms, each couple had a king bed and the bunk room and queen bedroom accommodated all the kids. The kitchen had everything we needed and more supplies than we were expecting. There was so much to do in our down time - pool, foosball, pinball, game table, hot tub, fire pit, theatre room. We especially appreciated having three refrigerators as we cooked nearly every night.

Lovely home

Everyone enjoyed the house. It was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The only thing the listing didnt memtion was that that the game room was not cooled or heated. The main room air conditioner was not working so that room was a bit warm. We liked that the property had a gas grill. The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been a pool. I know in the mountains you woukdnt get very many months to use it. We would go back to this place. Management was very nice and accommodating.

Wonderful Stay in the Mountains!!

This home exceeded my expectations. It is great for a large extended family or multiple families. The view is amazing and the fireflies do not disappoint. It is very clean and roomy! Owners went above and beyond to provide everything needed - from garbage bags to ingredients to make S’mores. We stayed a week and we didn’t want to leave! Most organized kitchen I’ve ever seen in a rental property. The game room is outstanding. The furniture and beds are very comfortable. The large dining table was a feature that I truly enjoyed. We cooked most meals there and it was so nice to have everyone sitting around 1 table. So much to do in the area that I needed more days to enjoy the hot tub and home theatre room. The hot tub was clean and situated where you could enjoy the view. We made S’mores in the fire pit- plenty of wood provided. We used the grill quite a bit too. This house checks all the boxes and I’d love to return. Thank you for a great property.

Wonderful Smokey Mountain home!

My daughter and her friends chose this property for their girls' senior trip this year. We were within 20 minutes of most activities they chose and loved the quiet, beautiful location. The house was filled with activities to keep them happy when we weren't out exploring. Everyone had an amazing time!

Perfect for a Bachelorette Trip!

We had so much fun on a bachelorette trip! Slept 12 very comfortably with multiple sitting areas that everyone was able to be together. Property was beautiful! Around a 20 minute drive to downtown Asheville. We had a bus come pick us up and drop off at the house for a night out and it was perfect! This was the perfect house to hang out in for the day with plenty to do!

Birthday Celebration

This place is a gem. Kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance necessary. The house is spacious allowing 7 adults and 2 children room enough for privacy, and the game room was a huge hit for everyone. I would not hesitate to stay there again. I had a few questions and was answered in minutes. Great view. I highly recommend The Whiskey Way Inn.
