This was our first time to Charleston. The property was in a great location 5/5 stars for sure. It was clean and in a great neighborhood that was walkable to everything. We even walked to the City Market and the Battery. Would not need a car at all. We just used an Uber to go to dinner on Sullivan's Island one night. The property manager was great and very responsive and even arranged for a free bottle of wine from a local shop. Unfortunately, we weren't there long enough to take advantage of that.
Just a few things. It is next to a bar. I should have known this as there were mentions of this in previous reviews but I missed it, so that's on me. My husband and I were not bothered because we slept upstairs but our friend was in the room next to the bar. He didn't complain, but when I went to listen it was loud. So if you are a light sleeper, maybe take the upstairs room or use the bunkbeds.
It does not overlook King Street, it is one building back and it overlooks the building next to you. I was fine with that because I wasn't going for the view, and honestly, it probably buffered the street noise which was good for me. But if you actually want to see King Street from your window, you won't.
It is a charming older unit. Which, again is OK, but don't expect a modern renovated unit that looks old. It was super clean and super secure and private. I like history so I was good.
Enjoyed my time there!!
