5* house, stay was less
This is a great intergenerational house with so much to do. The game room has so many games. The kitchen, dining, living area is small, but has lots of seating, and a nice deck outside with more seating and a large dining table. There's also a hot tub, BBQ and a fire table. We had to buy gas tanks, which we were reimbursed for. The problem we had was that we had specifically asked for no fragrances to be used in cleaning and linens, but when we opened the front door we were all hit with overwhelming fragrance in the air. We found that all of the many throw pillows, fabric chairs and fabric headboards, and even the faux plants were heavily scented. All of us were suffering from coughing, sore throats, and headaches. We contacted the host immediately and were told that nothing had been sprayed, which may be true of just before our check-in, but it certainly had been at some time. They had 3 fans delivered and we opened everything up and took all the pillows outside. That gave us some slight relief, but since it was so hot, we had to close up for the air conditioning. They then had 2 air filters sent, but they were delivered to the wrong address and we had to go pick them up. They also had a zero odor spray delivered. They really tried to help, but it was an uncomfortable stay for many of us. My clothes still have the smell after 2 washings! Otherwise it really was a great house!
