« Wow! We loved everything about this place. The house is lovely and stocked with everything we needed. Stephen is a great guy. Very accommodating and insightful. We went to the falls, furnace and the wooden bridge. Other than that we didn't leave that yard. We ate on the back porch every day just taking it all in. Ive never seen such a firefly show. We saw so many species of birds, butterflies, a deer ... it was like a wildlife sanctuary. This was the best timeout we've had so far. Already...

« We had an excellent stay. The cabin and grounds offered a private and peaceful getaway (which was exactly what we were looking for). The property had trails, a pond, fenced in vineyard, beautiful views and plenty of wildlife ... not to mention farm fresh eggs! The cabin was very well appointed and had everything we needed. Most importantly our dog gave this place a "two paws up" review! Can't rave enough about the hosts! Communication was great and they were readily available if we needed...

« My husband and I were looking for a place to stay on a river for Memorial Day Weekend. This was the perfect spot! Private community on the Jackson River…the river is right out the back door! We relaxed on the porch and just listened to the water roll by. When we were ready to eat the kitchen was fully stocked with what we needed. Time for bed meant choosing between 2 rooms each with its own private bathroom. There was plenty of room for us to do our own things when it rained- tv, games, books...

« We had an absolutely lovely stay while visiting Washington & Lee with our son. The cabin is immaculate and beautifully decorated Scandinavian style. And the view is priceless. « Squirrel's Nest is an absolutely charming cottage in a quaint town. Great location & perfect for our needs. We only stayed a weekend, to attend the Sounds of the Mountains storytelling festival at nearby Camp Bethel. We hope to go back when we can stay longer, to see more of the town & surrounding area. »

« This was just what we needed. It was nice to unplug for a few days and just enjoy our family with no distractions. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We made s’mores on the fire and cooked steaks on the grill. There is a lot of things to do within a short distance. »

« This cabin is lovely, cozy and very well appointed. The back deck and early spring views of the Maury river were beautiful and relaxing too. Great location close to Lexington but still felt like a real escape. Our host was accessible, friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely be coming back! »

« Loved the location, privacy, and quiet surroundings. Everything was great, and the water was just like any other Sulphur water. It has a smell, but it works! Plus, there was a full bottle of water in the water cooler when we arrived. We enjoyed sitting down by the water and watching the ducks float by. We communicated both with Evolve, and with the local contact, and everyone was helpful and quick to reply. Would not hesitate to stay again! »

« We enjoyed our stay at this cabin in the woods! Plenty close to all Natural Bridge attractions and not far from Lexington either! « Country Roads is a special property, with abundant views of a peaceful meadow and the Maury River. The cabin is frozen in time and has an interesting, retro vibe. Our family loved the peaceful transition of coming here in between graduation activities, and we enjoyed bird-watching, fishing in the river, sitting by the firepit at night, and conversing on the front porch each morning. Would definitely return. »

« We had a lovely stay at the “Writer’s Cabin!” It is small but so cozy and perfect for two. We had rain at first but when the skies cleared we went for a walk and explored the Chessie Trail. A lovely walk along the river. Hosts are very gracious. Easy check in and check out. »

« We spent 4 days at the house with my wife, mother-in-law, and daughters with their boyfriends. Everyone had a great time. House is very well stocked with everything we needed.
