Beautiful Condo/ Consider Some Research

It was a beautiful place and the decor was very nice. Everything worked perfectly for us in the condo!!I should’ve read the fine print on the listing that to access the amenities of Pointe West including pools and beach, the guest is responsible for paying 25 per guest for wristbands. My bad because in previous stays at other condos here this was taken care of as part of the condo payment.Also note that this condo does have direct access to the small pool/ lazy river, but is located across the street and a little trek (definitely not walkable) from the Pointe West beach access, larger pool area, restaurant, gym etc. Additionally, the gym and children’s play area were under renovation and not accessible during our stay. If these are important to you, I would call the main number for Pointe West to ensure that all of the facilities are available for use before booking. The gym closure was a bit of an issue for us as two of our guests were planning on daily workouts.Obviously this is not the fault of the owner, but again could’ve been part of my own research.Overall, the stay was highly enjoyable!!

The space and the updates are what made this visit amazing. There was plenty of room for all of us and never felt crowded. 4 adults and 2 littles (5 &7). We even had other family drop in for meals and a game and we still had plenty of room. The location to the lazy river was perfect for a quick to and from the pool. I loved that I could take long walks along the paths available. There was an A/C issue; however, the owner was quick to respond and did try to get it looked at. Praise the Lord the A/C kind of worked itself out as we were there and it wasn't pleasant the majority of our trip. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Family Weekend Getaway

Amazing location next to fun pool area. Sunsets were magical. Water all around. Unit was very clean and had no issues. Covered parking was nice and elevator was very helpful for load in and out. Highly recommended.

Lofland/Nelson Vacation 2023

The overall floorplan for our condo was amazing! We have stayed in other condos in the area before and this was the best condo by far we have stayed in. The kitchen area was open to the rest of the living area and the cook was not left out of the family activities. Our balcony overlooked the lazy river pool area which was nice. My grandkids (5 and twin 3 yr olds) loved the bunkbeds in their room. The shower in the master bathroom was great (nice and big)! All three grandkids could shower at once after at trip to the beach. The only thing that would have made our stay nicer would have been cooling off the water at the lazy river. The water was 102 degrees at 9 PM!

VERY nice Condo.

Starfish is by far the best VRBO that I have stayed at. Decor is wonderful...relaxing. Condo exceptionally clean. The kitchen was incredible. Very well stocked for a VRBO. Cookware was in great shape...TONS of dishes and glasses...all kinds of small appliances. All in all it was a wonderful stay...and this is the only negative that I can come up with too. I only wish that we had, had a heads up about the Mosquitos out there. They were vicious, and HUGE. =0) If we had a heads up we could have taken our bug spray with us. But that was a minor issue. We LOVE It.

Weekend Stay TOO Short

This condo was easy to get to, in a great location, and perfect for 2 grandparents, a great Aunt, parents and a teenage son, his Aunt, and a family dog. It had all we needed and was spotless. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Excellent property and location

Loved this property. Great layout and wonderful porch with view of the bay and pool. Point West is a great area and development. Restuarant at the club house was very good. Would stay again. Very enjoyable.

Starfish Fun

The Starfish was a great place for family fun, plenty of space to gather. So many amenities, kitchen was loaded with plenty of necessities but also many extras. We used the rice cooker, crock pot and ice cream maker just to name a few. Would definitely return!

Great location bad cleaning

We enjoyed our time at this property but could not get over how dirty it was. 1) there was dust on every open shelf in the property 2) there was white dog hair everywhere (we do not have a dog) 3) the couches were not cleaned/vacuumed - crumbs everywhere and the carpet needs some serious help. There were nails sticking out in the carpet by the master to the point I had to put a towel down, nasty stains (probably pet urine) etc. I would stay in this complex but probably not this same unit again.

Galveston family trip

Just as listed. We had a great time here. Condo is very roomy, very comforting, had all the amenities we needed to cook each day. Perfect location to be next to the lazy river pool. Close drive to the beach club if you want to be over there. A/C worked great. Literally the only compliant I had was the guest queen bed. It was terrible but I called the owners and they assured us it was being replaced. Other beds were great. Would definitely stay here again.

Not clean, tiny bugs crawling on us!

After the first night of having tiny bugs crawling on us in the master bedroom, we moved to sleep in the bunkbed room the remaining nights (9 night stay) and never had bug issue. Upon straitening up and gathering our items to pack, we discovered the cause of the bug issue. Under the master bed, as well as behind the nightstand we found open Coke and beer cans....hosting hundreds of tiny bugs. We notified the owner(s) and they seemed genially concerned and upset as this is the duties of the contracted cleaning crew to take care of. They offered a refund of the "cleaning fee".

Great location, terrible cleaning service

The place was nicely decorated and fully stocked with the cooking essentials. Unfortunately the place was not thoroughly cleaned upon careful inspection. There were clothes left in the dryer and food left in the fridge. The dishwasher was not emptied and the floors were dirty. My kids found an empty Capri sun pouch on the side of the bunk bed and a gum squished in the cushion of the couch. There was a mysterious stain the small pillow on the couch. The master bathroom looked like it wasn't cleaned at all. We rent units at Pointe West regularly and have enjoyed them all and haven't had any issues with the cleanliness of the units. This is my first bad review that I've written.
