Wonderful area. Bit far from town. You do have to pay for pool access should probably put that in the description. Also the other amenities are not available at the moment there under renovations

Family Vacation

First off, I arranged for early check in and once we got to our condo it had not been cleaned yet. Secondly, there was suppose to be a roll of toilet paper in all the bathrooms and there wasn’t. There were roaches in the kitchen and one of the guest bedrooms. The whole face of the bolt lock was broken and wasn’t even attached on the inside of the door. The elevator wasn’t working when we were leaving and trying to get all of our luggage and groceries which was slightly frustrating. Also, we had to unload the previous guest dishes from the dish washer.

My arrival time was at 4. I made it there at 4:10 (after a 6 hour drive) but the maids were still cleaning. I drove over to the beach club for thw wrist bands & they has not record of me. I called Shawn & he was able to register me while i waited. The keypad was completely broken, for 4 days wr could not lock the door. The elevator barely worked & there were roaches. I called & messaged Shawn repeatedly, but he stopped responding. The last message that I sent him, his response was check out instructions. We stayed Sunday- Wednesday, so it can't be blamed on the weekend. Very disappointed.

Broken lock upon arrival; could not lock the house the entire time. Very unsafe.

FABULOUS!!

We had a girls trip and have always loved staying in the Pointe West area. We always rent a house, but decided to try out a condo. This condo is absolutely perfect!! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!! The pics don't do it justice!!

Nice place, a few bumps

We had stayed at multiple Pointe west properties before. The biggest problem we had is that the elevator was down for the entire trip. Since my mom is on oxygen, it was rough for her to get up and down the stairs. We tried to contact the property and we tried to talk to them when we picked up the wristbands, but it never got resolved. The property itself was nice, there were ants in the kitchen but other than that, things were mostly well kept. Would stay again, but might check ahead on the elevator if Mom is coming.

Perfect Condo on Bay Side

The beach style and layout of the condo is very nice and accommodating. The couches and recliner were very comfortable! The communication was very easy and the property manager was helpful. We would stay here again!

Enjoyable stay

Let me start with the one thing i didn't like about this condo, we have stayed at point west condo's many times and have always been able to park under the building in the allotted parking space which this condo does say is available in the listing but in fact is not as the owners park their golf cart there, Ok so...onto the good stuff, it's a beautiful condo with a great view of the bay, very nice decor and well stocked. The master bathroom has been updated from the listing pictures shown and looks great, particularly the large walk in shower, we all had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend, just be aware of the parking situation and maybe take a windshield cover as your vehicle will be out in the heat, overall a big thumbs up, 5 stars

I do not recommend Connect Coastal Vacation Rentals

We had multiple issues during our stay and nothing was resolved the entire time. The washer was full of dirty water and wouldn’t drain. The freezer couldn’t keep anything frozen. The ice maker only made a couple cubes a day. The door lock malfunctioned and beeped for hours, and then we had to leave our belongings in an unlocked condo all day. We reached out to the management company multiple times and they just kept saying they were putting in a ticket to send someone out. Nothing got fixed and they didn’t even apologize for the inconveniences. At over $500/night a vacation should not be stressful. I will never use Connect Coastal again.

Not what it said

We had a terrible time opening the door. The lock was broken and wound just open and close all night. Not safe. The washer wasn’t working and was full of stagnant water that stunk up the whole place . I rent a property for this ridiculous price and I expect everything to work!. There is no coffee for the 2 coffee makers. We found 2 Scorpions in the room with the bunk beds. Just glad the baby didn’t get bit. There is NO parking and the owners have their toys in the one spot available to park. I had to park a mile away and walk in the dark alone back to the condo. What they don’t tell you is you can’t get to the beach from room 101. You have to drive across the road to enjoy any of their amenities. Also you have to pay a toll to enter and exit the area where the rental is. They drive you crazy with all the rules and the amount fof walking is not worth it. Never Again!!!

Beautiful, cozy & tranquil place💕

We are so amazed when we arrived at this place. It’s more than what I expected. It’s a very beautiful condo with a lots of windows which I love, spacious, very clean, beds are very comfy and the rain shower in the master bathroom was a plus and decor are just perfect! Very quite place and we enjoyed their infinity pool that has a stunning view to the ocean. The only issues we’s encountered on our last day was the washer it did not drain but other than that I will highly recommend this place. Very convenient to check in/out. We will definitely come back here. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place to us.

Beautiful place but had issues

My family and I stayed in the condo a few weeks ago. Overall, it was a beautiful place to stay. I wish somebody would have warned us about the mosquitoes before we came because we were definitely not prepared. After the first night of being there, I did have to call property management and let them know about how dirty the floors were, that the primary bedroom comforter was stained and that the pull out couch, mattress pad, a red stain substance. I drink red wine, so I know it was not red wine. Property management did have the cleaning crew come back out and clean the floors, change the primary comforter, and they put a mattress cover over the pull out couch mattress. I definitely think that the mattress on the pull out couch needs to be thrown away and changed not just covered since nobody can verify what the red stain is. I also think the king size mattress in the primary bedroom needs some kind of cushion because it feels like you’re sleeping on a concrete bed. I ended up sleeping with my children in one of the bunkbeds because their mattresses in there were 1000 times better. Again do I think this place is amazing to stay at, yes, but I do think there are some things that could definitely be changed to make it better.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The place was clean and spacious. The owners have it decorated so nicely. The view of the bay from the balcony is beautiful. We enjoyed the facilities beach club and the private access to the beach. We will definitely consider a return visit.

Beautiful sunset!

Great condo - clean, plenty of space and beautiful views of the Bay and sunset. Easy check in. Beautiful beaches nearby - we chose to drive to one of the nearby public accesses so we could take our car on the beach, which was so handy with kids and all their stuff. It was great having pool access, but both were pretty crowded and water was warm (not surprising for late Texas summer). The restaurant/bar at the beach club were very short staffed, so service wasn’t the best. Overall, would definitely recommend the condo if you’re looking for something comfy on the bay side.

Perfect Spot for Our Family

This property was perfect for us. It was secluded (about a 30 minute drive from stores and shops), was located on the bay side with a beautiful view, about a .60 mile walk to the beach via a path or a 2 minute drive with plenty of parking, about a .75 mile walk to the pools or a 2 minute drive, was clean and had everything we need. Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay here. Would totally recommend.

Spacious and comfortable, cleaning service was late

We arrived to a property which had not been cleaned since the previous guests. Dirty kitchen, smelly garbage, soiled bathrooms and unmade beds. We got there 30 minutes after the check-in time. Just as I was looking up the contact info, the property manager called to ask when we would be arriving. I explained we just arrived and told him the situation. He said the cleaning crew was running late and would be there soon. Two hours later and after having to call the property manager again for a status update, the crew arrived and completed a thorough cleaning. Since the check-in time is already 4pm, this unacceptable delay impacted our plans to cook and enjoy a nice dinner for our first night and marred the rest of our stay at an otherwise nice condo. Our group of four - adult siblings traveling with elderly parents - appreciated the 3 bedroom 3 bathroom amenities and spacious layout. The kitchen was well-equipped, beds were comfortable and furnishings of good quality. We found a bit of wear and tear including a broken kitchen drawer, but all in all a very nice place. If the property managers had their act together regarding cleaning, this could have been a five-star review.

Dream Vacation! Best property at at Pointe West! So spacious and luxurious! What a BLESSING! A+++

Okay y'all, this is THE property, we were just blown away by how the owners took such precise care in this condo of your every need! We work HARD during Christmas, we have a tshirt company & Christmas is our biggest season, so we like to go for a week vacation to unwind right after Christmas with our family. This condo had it all! We have been staying at Pointe West for 15 years now, we LOVE this property and all the amenities. Normally the 3 bedrooms are a bit out of our budget, but they had a great deal and it couldn't have been more of a delight! They have so beautifully decorated the condo, everything looks so gorgeous and nice! And very functional when you're a family like us with kids ages 2 to 19. The kitchen appliances are all top of the line and will make you really enjoy cooking and cleaning! Our family LOVED the kitchen sink faucet so much, it made dishes fun! The master bedroom has a GLORIOUS spa like HUGEEEE bathroom! It was a dream for us parents to have this beautiful luxury. The tub is HUGE! And the shower is so nice, just so nice and fancy, not a detail missed, not an expense spared, it is NICE! The pillows were so luxurious I'm going to order some! The kids rooms were amazing, our kids had their favorite vacation ever! They so thoughtfully have loads of DVDs for your family to chose from, all really nice! An owner that loves Beetlejuice also, is our kind of people :-) They have a huge amount of Board Games as well! Our family LOVED spending time together at night and playing them! The kitchen has everything you need really, we never missed one item and lots of tupperware, so helpful during our stay! The view is TOP OF THE LINE!! We have stayed all over this property, and it's confusing who has a good view or not, this condo has a SPECTACULAR view! I think it's the bay, but it looks like the ocean, it's so vast and beautiful! So fun to have your coffee out there in the morning. The other side of the condo has a great view of the fishing pier, and my teens LOVED going out there and caught lots of fish! My son is now HOOKED on fishing and wants to go fishing all the time :-) I was so excited to get home and leave this review. We were just so pleased with the amazing people who own this condo. We love it so much, we want to go back to stay there specifically at least once a year! We just wanted to give them a tremendous THANK YOU, for taking so much care, adding all the luxuries, thank them for it all, and BLESS YOU!

Great Stay!

We rented this place for a bachelorette weekend. It was even better than the pictures! Plenty of room for all of us and to entertain guests. The best part is that the beach club access was included with this stay! I thought I was going to have to pay extra and didn't. The only hiccup was we suddenly lost water for about 4 hours one afternoon. A little inconvenient, but the property managers were very responsive and they got it taken care of. Would definitely recommend staying here again! Lovely place!

Host cancelled reservation less than 2 days prior to check-in

Poor communication, minimal support from host after cancellation. I worked with VRBO claims department to help find a place (which was on a different beach/island). VRBO claims department was fantastic to work with and helped us make the best of our re-arranged vacation.
