« This was a very unique experience. The lodging was a shipping container and we went to sleep to the sound of coqui frogs and woke up to roosters crowing. The hosts were so personable and the breakfast was amazing, probably the best we had during our entire visit to the island. They have a friendly, but excitable dog. « The proprietor did not know he had guests staying with them. When I called he was surprised . First it is not what is advertised in the Expedia website. The location requires a 4x4, not a little truck, a Jeep Wrangler to get to it. The road to the location is not paved at all. It is all rocks, dirt, ruts on the ground and its location is high in the mountain, with gully’s and embankments to the jungle which could not be accessed by another vehicle (fire truck, ambulance or rescue). « We did a 6 day stay on Culebra and love the Melones area for the views and calm water. We stayed at Villa 2. The room is very elegant with a clean and comfy feel. The villa came with free wifi, direct TV, and access to Netflix (your account). AC worked fabulously at 72 degrees. « Jessica and Ruben were incredible hosts. Their property is so gorgeous with views of both the rain forest and the ocean. We loved that their animals were roaming around!
