Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If general the home was clean. We did buy a cleaner/bleach to spray in one of the showers, it helped so the cleaning crew could have done this because the shower was very moldy.

Great For Large Family

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and the pool area is fantastic. However, the interior needs to be cleaned, painted, tub drains unclogged, upstairs air conditioner fixed, both kitchens equipped and organized efficiently. Also, there needs to be better communication with whoever picks up the outdoor trash cans. All 3 large cans were filled with trash and not picked up until 4 days after our arrival and caused a lot of flies to surround the area as well as trying to enter inside.

The home needs new pots in the kitchen and we saw the staff cleaning but still found areas that weren’t as clean as we would have liked, (stained sheets when we opened package, hair in the bathroom)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is in a good location and the pool patio area is nice,but the hot tub was not working. Maintenance was notified. The refrigerator was not working on the first floor when we arrived but a loaner was delivered on Tuesday. The units could use more silverware. Appliances should be checked frequently as they get used so much. The bedrooms are spacious but it would be nice to have more bathrooms. We enjoyed our stay despite little problems.

The refrigerator in the downstairs kitchen did not work. A loaner refrigerator was brought to the property for our use. The repair man came the following day to repair the refrigerator. The hot tub jets did not work. The hot tub was worked on for 3 days and the jets were restored at that time. The yard crew worked in the yard for 1.5 days. Too much money was given for this property for the amount of distractions.

Annual Schwartz Family Beach Gathering

As usual we had a great time together with a Grandson getting engaged. Last year, our first at Sunspree, we had two Grand-daughters get engaged at "the beach". Sunspree is a great house rent with a new pool area and other improvements in the pool area. We reservered Sunspree for a week next July.

Sunspree - Garden city realty

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at this property multiple times. The location and pool are wonderful! Unfortunately we were not impressed with the property upkeep and maintenance this time! We were told at check in not to use the dryer—and that someone would be by to fix it Sunday or Monday. Nobody showed. The housekeeping staff was on site when we got there and noted an issue with a dishwasher. It smelled awful! Someone was supposed to come fix it. Again. Nobody showed! I called Tuesday and someone showed up to fix both appliances that afternoon. However the dishwasher was still stinky so we bought disposable tableware. The same appliances were problematic 2 years ago for us, and it is obviously an ongoing issue. Later in the week, the house was infested with bugs! After multiple calls for service and a good chunk of time spent squishing bugs, an exterminator arrived. He sprayed, but he couldn’t prevent a recurrence until a faulty door seal and space along the porch ceiling were repaired. No one showed to fix the door before we checked out. Other small issues were loose fixtures, wobbly chair legs (a chair collapsed!), loose and falling off door handles and tub fixtures, a ceiling fan not secured to the ceiling...I will say, GCR management did give us a partial refund, but I’m really hoping such issues are fixed so we can continue to stay at Sunspree!

If I had any negative comments I would say the house would have been better if the rear back steps were fixed. We didn’t have any small kids or children but that would have been a real concern if we had.

Benefits of the Sunspree: location!, pool, large rooms, two kitchens. Some cons: no bathrooms outside of bedrooms, no indoor staircase. Some appliances need to be updated.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family has been vacationing together for 27 years in the Surfside area. We have used several rental companies and have never experienced the delay that occurred in occupying the property that we rented. We were not able to get into our property until 5:30 which is unacceptable. We have guest travelling from all over the country with an expectation that we would be able to occupy the property prior to 'dinner' time. Garden City does not appear to 'care' about providing good customer service/communication to provide estimates for occupancy. We will be pursuing other options for next year. In addition, the morning of departure - a landscape crew showed up which interrupted our packing departure. No care or concern for the money that we paid to occupy the property.

Reviewer Comments: My family has been having reunions in Myrtle Beach for many years and love Long Bay Estates for its quiet neighborhood and uncrowded beach. Sunspree has two living areas (one up, one down) so there's room for quiet time on one level and noisier activities on the other. The pool is perfect for kids (no deep end), and the house is directly across the street from a beach access.

Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family rented this property for seven days in September of 2017. The house was in an excellent location, front balconies allowed ocean views and a short stroll across the street you had access to a walkway to the beach. The only problem we had was the upkeep of the property. We had several contractors come to fix items during our stay after we reported things. The dryer only worked on one setting, there was a leak in one of the bedrooms, and the glass shower door fell on one of my family members. On the bright side, the rental agents did respond to our calls and made sure the items were fixed. The highlight of our stay was the private pool/kiddie pool/hot tub with covered seating. We spent a lot of time there making great memories. Overall we had a great time.

Family Vacation 2017

We had a few small issues( light buld burnt out, timmer on hot tub didn't work, tv remotes that didn't work right) But overall it was great. will think twice for our group a seperated upstairs and down stairs.
