« Very close to Bourbon so a quick walk but far enough away there was no chaos or noise. Security officer was parked across the street in the evening and at night so we felt safe leaving our cars in the free on street parking we found within 1 block to the building. « I got the "royal" treatment at the Maison Royal. It's conveniently around the corner from my favorite jazz clubs on Frenchmen: Snug Harbor, where I had tickets to a terrific sold-out show, and the more casual Bamboula's. The room is tastefully furnished and has two comfortable chairs, allowing me to host a friend who dropped by and admired the digs. It was my fifth time in NOLA, and the 2nd time I visited during a cold spell, so I was thankful that the room provided heating as well as A/C....
