We loved our stay at this adorable Shotgun house! It truly lives up to its nameâcharming, clean, and in a fantastic location just steps from the St. Charles streetcar. We felt safe in the neighborhood and found it very easy to get around the city. The beds were comfortable, and the home was spotless. We appreciated the character of the home and how convenient everything was. Would definitely stay here again!
We were very pleased with our accommodations! Everything we needed and more, great location and loved the coffee cafe across the street!! Highly recommend!!!
This property is in a great location. There is plenty of street parking, and the neighborhood is relatively safe. St Charles and the trolly is three blocks away. Plenty of dining options nearby. I parked the car out front and never moved it until I left. The shotgun duplex was wonderful. It had a Real uptown New Orleans feel. 12' ceilings, original pocket doors, and plenty of room. French Truck coffee shop across the street was a bonus.
We enjoyed our short vacation in New Orleans even though it coincided with below-freezing temperatures and an historic snowstorm. We were so glad to have such a comfortable spot to hunker down and stay indoors. The historic character of the house is nicely preserved with modern conveniences slotted in as needed.
Check in was easy. The residence was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable, as well as being quite lovely. The location is excellent. The host responds promptly and is helpful with dining tips.
Four day stay near great restaurants. Not to far from Superdome if your into sports. Comfortable with everything we needed. Property manager accommodating. Suggest finishing main bathroom to avoid slipping. Almost had a fall. Otherwise enjoyable.
We had a great stay in this traditional shotgun style home. Note, you have to walk through the first bedroom to get to the back bedroom. It had everything we needed including a fantastic coffee shop right across the street! I highly recommend this rental!!!!
Very quiet street but with a coffee shop. Have had problems in the past with street parking but not here. Beautiful remodeled old house. The flavor of old New Orleans with modern amenities. Thank you!
This house is conveniently located to several restaurants and an awesome coffee shop just across the street! House is tastefully decorated, has hardwood floors, and perfect for our family.
Wonderful house in a great spot! Stayed here for a girls trip for the first part of Mardi Gras⊠House was perfect. Very clean, very cute, very safe location. Steps from parade routes. Will be back!
We enjoyed being right across from a coffee shop. It was a short walk to the St Charles streetcar and we enjoyed riding it every day. House was nice and cool after a hot day and it worked well for our group.
Nicely decorated, very clean home with lots of charm. Plenty of space to spread out for a family of four. We visited in 100 degree weather and the central AC kept us plenty cool without needing to use the window units. Loved having French Truck coffee right across the street. Plenty of on street parking. Communication was prompt and we appreciate the flexibility on checkout.
If youâre not familiar with the term âshotgunâ style - the rooms run one after another front to back, so to enter the second bedroom you have to go through the first. Not an issue for us but worth knowing.
Would definitely stay again.
This newly renovated location provided the right space for traveling with our 2 teens. It was very clean and spacious with parking right outside. We had the Nola charm with modern amenities. Coffee was just outside the front door, with many other restaurants close by. It is just a few blocks to catch the trolley for easy access to the French Quarter. The host was easy to work with and very responsive. Would stay here again.
Family of 4 - loved our experience! Clean house, close to restaurants and other fun areas of NOLA worthy of a visit (Magazine, Freret, etc). Everyday we walked out the front door and explored a different part of the city. Owner was accessible and everything was just as we expected. Plenty of room for everyone - plus 2 bathrooms is a plus. Thanks for a great stay- canât recommend enough!
This was our second time staying here. Clean and comfortable as always and a prime location for whatever you need to do in NOLA.
We really enjoyed the convince of so many local restaurants in walking distance!
We had a great long weekend stay. The location is perfect- a short walk to the street car and a close walk to the nearest grocery. The coffee place across the street also made the stay that much better. Would definitely recommend this stay for anyone looking to visit.
Loved the property however there was a few things that was not good. The persons in the adjacent home had children that ran about sounding like a heard of horses late at night and early in the morning. Then they were out in the shared front yard screaming. Very distracting which made our vacation anything but distracting! There also was only 2 towels for a 5day stay. Otherwise everything was fine
You cannot ask for a better location! Coffee shop with sandwiches and bakery across the street, Vietnamese restaurant 1 blk, Italian/Seafood restaurant 500 ft, Superior Seafood 7-8 blks- all with reasonable prices and awesome food. There is a steak house across the street also, but we did not go there. You don't even need to go to grocery store- just eat out or dine in! But if you want to eat-in, all the supplies were available. Great bedroom arrangement for us (3 adults), but could easily accommodate 6. We heard no street noise, and while I was apprehensive about street parking- it is a nice little neighborhood and there were no issues. Host was responsive for check-in, and made sure we had her phone number if there were issues. Easy check-out, and just an overall awesome time in this home, neighborhood, and in New Orleans. We did hop-on-hop-off bus one day to all the sights, went to Elizabeth's for breakfast one morning (20 min away) and scooped up a trunk load of seafood from Sue's Seafood (23 min away) before we headed out. Thanks Rochelle for sharing your beautiful home! Susan, Allyson, and Jennifer
